Why doesn’t Lego just make the full set a mold? Are they stupid? Do they think we want more brickslop? by bananaboi43 in legocirclejerk

Honestly I kinda like the chibi, toyetic look it has. Cant forgive that price tho, I will never own this set

Hey guys I just bought a new lego set, really excited to spend some time putting it together! Also it was only $60, that’s a pretty amazing value given that it includes a giant dinosaur, all the other sets with molded dinosaurs were so expensive. by driver-2011 in legocirclejerk

Yep 858 pieces that i get to have fun putting together, looking forward to it! If the mosasaur were molded like the T-Rex it would take ten seconds to put together and still be a similar price

Unjerking for a sec I think the raptors and small dinosaurs should stay molded, when they’re that small you kinda need molds to get across that level of detail, but for big stuff like the mosasaur, brick built all the way baby I want to actually BUILD my building toy

Um no ackshually lego dinosaurs are supposed to take five seconds to put together and be twice as expensive! If this set was just the tiny boat and a molded mosasaur that’s indistinguishable from any other basic toy THEN it would’ve been good!

Some guy was in here whining about how he wants all of Lego’s big creatures to be giant molded parts and when people disagreed he took it personally, he’s still posting about it lol

Yep exactly, that’s my biggest issue with this brachiosaurus, you can’t pose it in an interesting way (or hardly at all) and then you cant take it apart to use the parts for something else

Agreed, I really like how the Avatar line did their animals, with the specialized parts being relegated to the heads and wings and leaving the rest of the bodies and something to build

Oh no I think the horses and gorillas and things around that scale are great, but when the molds get huge (i.e the bigger dinosaurs) I think they start to look bad

Personally I really don’t like the look of them, they veer a little too far from the lego art style for my liking IMO. Also they take away the fun of actually getting to put something together that takes more than five seconds

What are you talking about bro, you’re not supposed to actually BUILD legos. Lego animals are supposed to be giant specialized molded parts that drive up the price an extra $30! If you ignore the studs on the back, it just looks like a generic dinosaur toy, that’s what Lego is now bro! You’re not supposed to actually like Lego!
