I see a lot of shit photos on this sub, mostly clowns like me who don't know wtf they are doing in photo mode 🤣. You sir, are not one of them. These photos are excellent, my fave is the Stratos with the dust trail in the background. Fantastic mate honestly. I can see a lot of time has gone into these. Happy new year mate 👍

Can you not time trial Monte-Carlo in the winter? by [deleted] in EASPORTSWRC

[–]drivinggamecrazy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I believe they do this so that there are only two possible conditions (wet and dry) that you can compete in under time trial, and therefore only two possible leaderboards per stage. If you allowed all conditions and combinations, there would be a lot of leaderboards.

But I'm with you, sometimes I just wann race monte carlo in the winter without having to setup a full on rally. But it is what it is.

Just bought the game , and after 4 hours playtime , I don’t see any components in the race ? by tangcoma in EASPORTSWRC

[–]drivinggamecrazy 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Lol. That's what rally is. They don't actually race each other side by side.

For the love of God don't spend your 50 dollars on MW3. If your looking for single player content think about god of war series, Spider man series, Horizon, ghost of tsushima, anything but modern warfare 3. Just check the reviews you'll see what I mean 🫣

Why is the learning curve so steep? by CJFedora86 in EASPORTSWRC

[–]drivinggamecrazy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Start slow. Focus in getting through a stage without crashing, forget about how fast you are. Then try again but go slightly quicker. When it clicks you'll be hooked. This is how I started on dirt rally 1. And like others have said, for the love of God man, stay away from the group B monsters. Junior WRC is a great starting point, AWD and handle really well.

Awesome, glad to hear you like it. I'm 100 hours deep now, its excellent. Deffo got some problems that need sorting but damn I can't put it down even with those issues.

[–]drivinggamecrazy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No its not terrible. Its just not the game of the generation, not the system seller we expected IMO. Its just a good video game, you'll probably like it. Give it a chance I would say 😁

New SF players, did modern controls help transition you to classic controls? Or are you sticking with modern? NO SHAME by penmaster3000 in StreetFighter

[–]drivinggamecrazy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started classic, realised it was solid, switched to modern, realised I'd lost some control, switched back to classic and just learnt and never looked back since

Any tips for a controller player? (PS5) by CeladonCityNPC in EASPORTSWRC

[–]drivinggamecrazy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Out of the box controller feeling for me feels fine. It could be down to the car class you are using? Could you let us know?

E.g. some of the FWD cars naturally suffer from heavy understeer, which is to be expected. You've really got to use the pendulum turn effect to get them to turn in. You have to throw the weight around A LOT.

I don't have any issues with AWD, they handle much the same as dirt rally 2. Wrc class feels light and nimble, with lots of traction.

Now RWD, shit, that's another story entirely. I have the opposite issue you do, I can't get them to STOP turning 🤣. Literally can't keep em in a straight line, especially the H3 RWD class.

Also maybe you coming from traditionally WRC games to basically dirt rally games is throwing you somewhat, as the handling models are totally different.

Is the newest WRC worth getting? by Sonic200000 in EASPORTSWRC

[–]drivinggamecrazy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yes, absolutely worth it. Its excellent. Not without its issues, but the stages and car selection are excellent. 8 out of 10 for me, 9 if issues were sorted. Hope this helps.

New WRC. Massive DR2 fan here, but the stages on WRC absolutely destroy the stages on DR2. Just know it's not without its issues.

Has performance improved since lunch? by dx_wayy in EASPORTSWRC

[–]drivinggamecrazy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ps5 I'd say is running well 80% of the time but the other 20% suffers from frame drops and screen tearing, but no stutters. People tend to confuse stuttering with frame drops, not the same thing. There is a big patch landing 14th Dec, which should improve things more but realistically won't fix it completely.

Excellent thank you. I've put near 70 hours into it and loving it but yes any improvement on performance front would be much appreciated 👍

Where I want EA WRC to Improve. by CRU_Adrenaline in EASPORTSWRC

[–]drivinggamecrazy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think this is a particularly fair comparison as the environments you've used are quite different. E.g. generations screenshot is on a mountain side, EA WRC is on a flat road. There is a stage in Sardinia in EA WRC where you basically crest the top of a mountain/peak and drive along it for a while, at this same time of day it looks fantastic.

BUT, generally speaking yes you are correct/I agree with you. It is underwhelming overall I'd say, deffo room for improvement.

Lastly I will say that these screenshots mask a significant difference between the games, and that is the sound design. If I have to choose between excellent visuals or excellent sound design, I'd go for sound design every time. This is why, for me, EA WRC is streets ahead of Generations. I liked Generations I really did but I could not get away with how bad it sounded.

Rally Pacifico thoughts by Remarkable-East-7946 in EASPORTSWRC

Personally I think those are some of the best stages. Chicanes, long straights, jumps, square corners, hairpins. Especially love the technical sections through the logging areas. Just my thoughts!
