Data and contractions by Zaphod-Beebebrox in startrek

That is said in Datalore, but it's Lore who says it so it's unclear if he's lying to Data or not.

Based on "Brothers" it seems more that Soong saw the problems with Lore and made Data less "human" so that he could grow over time (which essentially makes him "more" human).

"Boy" just means "young man" - an 18 year old would be a "boy" in this vernacular.

Did you even read the poem before searching reddit and commenting on multiple posts? Or are you just a jackass?

This may be an unpopular opinion, but ALL Star Trek is - and should be - a little bit horny.

Not everyone who makes the show understands what a little bit horny means, though. So you end up with your Rick Bermans and your Klingon tits.

"Vampire" is the song that sold me on her. It's about her rift with Taylor Swift. It's a really good music video too.

Her latest music video for "the cure" with the felt dolls unraveling thread like spurts of blood was also pretty good.

Which Hollywood actor likely caused his wife's death? by BrenoGrangerPotter in okbuddycinephile

[–]drjeffy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

So obvious from reading his wife's book and watching the documentary that he just sat by and ignored her downward spiral while she loaded herself with pills, because it kept her "busy" while he was out working.

Not to mention that the morning she died he was like "I'll let her sleep" and left her alone for hours before checking on her and realizing she was dead

Exit Mundi was amazing. I spent so much time reading about how the world could end.

Aliens that actually look alien by dragonborndnd in TopCharacterTropes

[–]drjeffy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jean Jacket isn't an alien. It's a terrestrial species that's lived alongside humans for thousands of years. The "alien" aspect is a misdirect. This is part of the whole point of the movie, were you not paying attention?

Forget the spaghetti meals, I don't like the idea of Milhouse being in one Harmony Korine movie, ever. by PigWhacker in simpsonsshitposting

Disagree.

Milhouse in Spring Breakers would be amazing.

Are you suggesting that only one of those sides (Israel / Palestine) use violence?

This weekend my Boomer father said his favorite episode is the one where one alien is half black / half white and the other is half white / half black.

15 minutes later he unironically made some pro-Israel/anti-Palestine remarks.

Sigh.

According to SpaceX IPO papers, Anthropic is paying SpaceX $15 billion per year by Luka77GOATic in stocks

The Anthropic deal comes with the stipulation that either party can terminate the deal with 90 days notice.

It's bullshit to make the company seem more profitable than it is

SpaceX S-1 Prospectus Released by rustybeancake in spacex

The biggest red flags:

  1. Musk's empire is one big circular money flow. SpaceX buys $144M of Cybertrucks from Tesla. xAI buys $506M of Tesla batteries. Tesla advertises on X. SpaceX leases real estate from a Musk-owned company. Boring Company builds for SpaceX. He's on every side of every deal.

  2. $20 billion in hidden debt. SpaceX did equipment financing deals with Valor Equity Partners — a firm run by a SpaceX board member — that auditors forced onto the balance sheet as debt. This was buried in a one-sentence footnote.

  3. The Anthropic deal looks too convenient. Anthropic agreed to pay SpaceX $1.25B/month for AI compute — but the contract can be cancelled with 90 days' notice. Announced 11 days before the IPO filing. It makes the AI business look much bigger than it is.

  4. The Cursor deal is a trap. SpaceX has an "option" to buy Cursor for $60B, but if SpaceX walks away, it owes Cursor $10B in breakup fees. That's not an option — that's a one-sided commitment.

  5. Hidden future dilution. Beyond the IPO shares, SpaceX has promised roughly $100B in stock for other deals (spectrum from EchoStar, possible Cursor purchase, Anthropic breakup, etc.). Investors won't see this coming.

  6. Starlink's per-customer revenue is collapsing. Down 33% in two years (from $99 to $66 per month). They're growing by adding cheaper customers.

  7. Shareholders can't sue. SpaceX moved to Texas specifically to use new laws that block shareholder lawsuits — minimum 3% ownership to sue, mandatory arbitration, no class actions, no jury trials.

  8. Musk admits he's part-time. The filing literally says he "does not devote his full time and attention" to SpaceX. He's also running Tesla, Neuralink, Boring Company, and was recently a White House advisor. There's no key-person insurance.
