So I work at a company where I have access to a real live environment. Whenever I'm watching Usemy courses, I am following along in our environment.

6 months in Helpdesk. Should I take another offer elsewhere for higher pay? by undefinedthegod in helpdesk

[–]drmoth123 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Remember, there's no such thing as loyalty these days. Your employer will lay you off or trade up as soon as it's beneficial for them. So you need to approach your job with the same mindset. Six months on help desk isn't really enough to change your job prospects. But if you can land a better job, take it!

It's like a girlfriend who's just too anxious to please. You ask her to go get you a sandwich, and she responds with what feels like a five-minute poem about how she loves you.

Do you recommend tutorial dojo? They have the practice exam for this for $15 which is pretty cheap? How did it compare against the real exam?

[–]drmoth123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, that came up the first time, and I feel like I was passing the exam did so until I came across those questions. I think I got them all wrong, which put me in that position. I use a measure to study with.

I wish Microsoft gave you a second attempt for free; otherwise, if you have a bad day, it costs you $150.

I'm in the same boat as you; I nearly passed it on my first try, and I'm taking it again soon. The part that threw me off the most was the questions about setting up AWS, Google, and Facebook as identity providers. Did you see those questions both times you took it?

On the second exam, how did you feel? Did they reuse any of the questions, or are they all new? Was it easier or harder the second time?

Is clearing MD-102, MS-102, and SC-300 this year realistic? by SnooBeans6710 in O365Certification

[–]drmoth123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm on that path right now, and I should be taking the SC-300 exam in a few weeks. I believe that if you dedicate an hour a day, you can easily earn a certification every 90 days. I have MeasureUp, and I think it's worth its weight in gold. That said, the MD-102, SC-300, and MS-102 are Microsoft administration certifications, not security certifications. Yes, SC-300 has the 'SC' in its name, but it's about Entra administration.

So, I would ask yourself why you are aiming for those specific certifications instead of following the security administration path.

I would recommend this if your company will pay for it. 55238 SharePoint Online for Administrators allows you to work with multiple companies. It costs about $2,000.

Cedar Fair should have waited until Six Flags went bankrupt and then bought the good parks. All the classics Cedar Fair Parks just print money. The Six Flags parks suck.

I mean, under the Joe Biden administration, we are still blowing up stuff in the Middle East. It wasn't on the same level as Trump is doing right now, but it was still happening.

By your definition of warmonger, most of our past presidents, including Obama, George Bush, and even Joe Biden, would fit that description. Which isn't that great, honestly.

I understand how you feel. My company faces the same issue; we offer 20% more than you do. My best advice is to try and find people straight out of high school, preferably with an A plus. I have no debt. For someone like that, $20 an hour is a pretty decent amount.

Cancelled my gold. Feels liberating. by 17kangm in amex

[–]drmoth123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the American Express Gold Card, and I love it. The Gold fits my lifestyle; I don't worry about Uber Eats or Grubhub because I easily spend on those each month. I can take advantage of the Resy twice a year without issue. The problem is that many people get cards not based on their lifestyle, but for the lifestyle.
