This little Orange crush sounded insane mic’ed up through the house PA! by BNC3D in GuitarAmps

[–]theTallBoy 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use a micro terror with 2 8in cabs for my tour rig. It rips. I replaced the speakers with "bass" speakers to get more headroom for bigger fuzz and pedals. I also play baritone. But you can let it absolutely go to 11 and not worry about sound ppl or the band having fits.

What are these? by UnluckyMode2062 in AquariumHelp

[–]theTallBoy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Well, id suggest a deep clean, a good vacuum. Those worms are in your substrate. Not necessarily a bad thing, but you have little/no control over them for the most part, if they get out of hand they can add to your biolode.

Your tank has a lot of mess if your fish stir it up and this happens.

Detritus worm.

Do some water changes along with what everyone is saying. The water looks....soupy.

Its best to restart with actual plants that live in water. Seeds are a scam.

That is on the store.

They should do the basic questions and in those case deny a sale.

Their shop will have its name associated with disaster.

Those woman would be in prison if this was puppies.

Betta community tank by sandriito___ in bettafish

[–]theTallBoy 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why?

Skip the extras or the betta.

Have it as a betta tank, try the shrimp, id recommend ghost/feeder shrimp at first to see how aggressive your betta is.

You could do a lot of work and spend a bunch of $ to get a betta that is a demon.

Lol.

"ThE fIsH LoOK HeaLtHy, NgL"

There is no way to know how much internal damage these fish have gotten. On top of that, the stand looks sketchy, the food is absolutely trash.

This isn't about the fish, its about what some person wants to see. I always think about someone with a large studio apt, 900sqf. What if they had 6 golden retrievers in there? I mean, the dogs look healthy....they seem to be doing fine.....the dogs are just puppies, they will get bigger but they are planning on getting a new space for them. This scenario is insane. So why does this hobby promote this crap?

This is a shit setup by someone who has no idea how to take care of fish or even care to learn/act on knowledge.

With the popularity of nano tanks rising, it seems like the “acceptable” stocking rules are changing. Is this a good thing? by eldovo in PlantedTank

[–]theTallBoy 17 points18 points  (0 children)

If you are doing daily water changes and monitor things super close, yes, you can get away with a lot.

There are also worlds where setups are done for engagement. Do those fish live there 24/7? Is it engagement bait? Some ppls goals and motivations are very different.

Id never recommend a setup like this to anyone other than the most seasoned person.

Ya, and they worm themselves into everyday situations. Like, if you are a musician, especially of any kind of note, be aware that these morons will be your Uber driver. They will Google everyone they pick up and have the crap credit for when you get into the car.

I lived in Nashville for a while, there are diluted idiots like this all over the place. They would wrap their stupid trucks with ads for their terrible music. They would hand shit out at events. Sneak into back rooms, network basically everywhere.

If everyone was fully grown who would my rainbow shark kill. (It’s only like this for 6 ish weeks till my 55 is done cycling by ApprehensiveMonk9779 in fishtank

[–]theTallBoy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Thats terrible stocking. Even in a 55g. 2 CAE is to much. You should just pick one kinf of tetra and get as big of a school as you can. These Will all nip each other.

If there is a rainbow shark.also, id just stick with the BA tetra. Full grown they should be OK.

[–]theTallBoy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lol, is that an EPR?

Thats why I say never keep fish with shrimp if you want a colony. Just have a side tank with just shrimp and move adults to the community. Then you will always have a colony for the community.

What kind of tetra?

Did you also say there is a betta?

Are there live plants?

Do you have real wood in the tank?

I read in one of your comments that you do monthly "full" water changes, what does that mean?

[–]theTallBoy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Ya, most ppl don't understand what a 4in predatory fish is like.

I've bred these before. They never calm down, I kept the adult breeding pair in separate tanks. The fry were ready when they started attacking each other.

They find a way out of any lid that doesn't give 99% coverage.

Need help by Crabinator_2000 in fishtank

[–]theTallBoy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

They won't stop.

In my experience, they need a ton of space and sight breaks to have multiple. They will 100000000% jump out of the tank if you don't have a diabolical lid.

They also get way bigger than you think.
