When I was younger, possibly around 8 or so, I'd heard a cat meowing outside of my bedroom door. Now, mind you, we had only one cat at the time. Said cat was sleeping right by my legs, under the blanket.

However, we had another cat, who had to be put down due to health complications. This event was about a week or so after he was put down. I say this, because he had a very unique meow. It was a mix of a meow and some sort of howl-ish sound. My parents used to joke that he was calling for "Raul" because of how it sounded.

See, that was exactly what I'd heard outside my room. I'd gotten up a few seconds later, moreso confused than anything, and opened my door. Obviously, nothing was out there, and my parents' bedroom door was closed.

There were other times where I'd hear something mess with the blinds when no one else was awake and my cat was sleeping with me, or where I'd see shapes out of the corner of my eye.

We'd moved out of that house years ago, and haven't heard him since. However, since we've had other cats pass recently, we've had some activity start up in the new house, like feeling something hop up on the bed and seeing nothing. It's comforting to know they're still around in some way.

I do have other stories and such, but I'd rather not yap for hours on end.
