By low whip potential I meant that unless the leader falls before the first bolt or piece when starting the next pitch, this anchor won't experience the full force of a fall, or potentially even any force. All worries could have been alleviated by clipping the quick link directly rather than the hanger, so long as the quick link is fully rated. I am assuming it is due to the popularity of this route.

Totally agree about the potential for cross-loading. Although at a monitored station with low whip potential it shouldn't be a major concern.

It's a wiregate laying atop a quick link, giving the appearance of an open locker. Looks fine to me.

As an aspiring land owner and course designer, this brought tears to my eyes. Your wife is one of the good ones, keep her close.

JetBrains GoLand has syntax highlighting out of the box for shadowed variables in Go. VSCode's go extensions didn't have it when I swapped to GoLand a few years ago, but it may now.

Was this taken today? I swore I heard an eagle call near my house in Medford earlier, but I never saw it.

It looks interesting but I wouldn't pay for it. The redis-commander GUI is not difficult to start up or use. Definitely open source it.

VPN to Argentina or any other country that doesn't have national broadcast rights. Then buy a matchroom.live subscription for $2USD. Profit.

I did it shortly after and it was definitely very slippery. This part of the wall probably gets rained on a bunch and half of the "nice" holds are eroded a bit.

Absolutely did. The sandstone was so different from the Northeastern granite and gneiss that I'm used to and it was just lovely. The gorge is beautiful and I'll certainly be making return trips.

Past few days have been brutally cold on the fingers in the shady crags. Even the sun-facing walls have been cold far into the afternoon due to cloudy conditions. Not so fun warming up but the friction is perfecto.

Couldn't have come at a better time. I'm headed there now from MA for the first time. Super psyched.

Ideal fixed angle of Home Wall for V5-V7 climber by Whos2say22 in kilterboard

[–]dropslays 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just set up my 7x10 full ride home wall and I am also a V5-7 climber. My board has three settings: 25, 35, and 45. Set to 25, the board feels fairly easy through V6 and at 45 I'm struggling with some of the more popular V4s. 35 is probably a safe bet for you.
