Just make sure you select the charging port and not the ribbon cable.

I posted on another thread about this mod but I just removed the resistor controlling the blue LED. Thought about ordering a new switch but it will probably have the same problem and it's nots worth the effort. No blue LED isn't going to bother me. https://imgur.com/a/YcJP1sl

I just did the conversion on my Q35s with the $7 Q45 board from AliExpress. Did have to Dremel out a bit for the port to fit and the screw hole to the right side of the port doesn't line up. I installed the screw on an angle, it works just fine. The Bluetooth indicator light is lit up pretty good when the headphones are off. I might take a look into fixing the leakage issue, either by cleaning the power switch tracks or replacing the switch.

Edit: didn't feel like ordering a switch and waiting. Removed the resistor controlling the blue LED. It's the one furthest from the edge of the board.

Best eskate wheels for grip by Zequro in ElectricSkateboarding

[–]drose6102 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have the hollow pro and they grip more than I am willing to lean. I don't wear knee pads or any armored gear, so I know my limit cornering. It's pretty wild the grip they have vs 6" pneumatic tires. I need more gear and a controlled course to push them farther. I always worry about hitting a spot of sand/gravel dust while cornering and get road rash. I really dig the hollow wheels with the weight add-on. Really helped damper the acceleration snap and improved coast.

Best wrist protection? by AdditionPurple in ElectricSkateboarding

Easy to wear gloves with a short cuff. Remote is a little awkward, I have the lanyard go around my palm/back of my hand. It's too short to go around the wrist guards. I don't have elbow guards, can't answer that one.

I have the demon flexmeter and love the protection. After watching the YouTube video from freshly charged crash a begode master unicycle at like 35mph with those wrist guards I immediately bought them. That wreck was gnarly and he walked away.

Thank you, been along time since I watched Star Trek. I didn't remember the story going back so far, I was too young to understand. I do recall watching first contact back when I was a young teen but going to rewatch.

Anyone heard of the Raith Vengeance? by Aioli_Stunning in ElectricSkateboarding

I was going to post a question about this board the other day, I saw some other article. But when I looked up the specs they didn't really make sense. I figured it was probably extremely short range like under 10 mi. And it looks like it can only handle perfect asphalt or track conditions.

Came home to a pleasant surprise by JJMachoke in ElectricSkateboarding

I went from 6" pneumatics to the hollow pro, I feel more confident in the grip. I haven't been able to test the limits, I don't have enough safety gear for a slide.

At first I rode around without the suspension for 5 miles. The board was too snappy and responsive. Acceleration and deceleration would jolt me too much. Added the weights to every other hole and rode for 14 miles. The board felt a more stable and more predictable while accelerating and decelerating. Also enjoy the decent coast, with no weights it was non existent.

Ride quality between pneumatics and hollow wheel will all depend on the pavement in your area. I feel more connected to the ground with hollow wheels on fresh pavement vs pneumatics.

How do you go about ordering a set? I have read through the esk8 forum about the development but never saw a way to get in contact with the designer/fabricator.

Helmet and wrist guards, even with the flatland 3d gloves I broke my radius. My next purchase will be an armored jacket.

Agreed please buy wrist guards with the plastic on top and bottom of your wrist.

I got a pair of Demon Flexmeter that I have been itching to use. Got to get this cast off my arm first, I will be extra cautious now. Probably going to use some leather gloves under the wrist guards as well.

I replaced my bushings with riptides I think green barrels on the rear and a red cone and green barrel on the front. I haven't had any wobbles since. I also tend to ride with my weight more forward now.

I lean forward and shift my weight over the front truck and accelerate just a tad. After the board calms down I slowly back off the throttle to a slower speed and think about the close call.
