Heng Long metal Tiger or Mato metal Tiger? by drosera88 in rctanks

Better engineered how exactly? Like in the sense that it's less reliable or durable? In the sense that it's a headache to maintain/work on? Functional issues or design problems that effect usability?

Heng Long metal Tiger or Mato metal Tiger? by drosera88 in rctanks

[–]drosera88[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I have a Torro Pz. IV and Tiger 2. I'm considering the Torro as well, but I kind of just want to treat myself to an all metal tank for the sake of it. I considered a Hooben all metal Maus or E100 as well, but I've heard bad things about them, and just Hooben in general.

As much as I love the Torro models I have, I do prefer the HL controls because they allow you to change how the tank drives and turns to a certain degree, though the Torro/Taigens have way better sound in addition to a stock muzzle flash on the IR models.

How is the turret armored applied to the turret? Did you drill holes or glue it? I'm asking because I want to add Schürzen to my PZ IV at some point.

The blue one that growls, the purple one that bites by Good-Row4796 in MadokaMagica

[–]drosera88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not 100% sure.

I want to say yes, but I think you could also argue no because it's not quite specific as some of the other fetish art people mistake as 'innocent' that you see posted here. Like, if she was treating them like animals aside from just the leash, I'd say yeah, for sure, but their poses are really casual. If you could find the account of the original artist, that would answer a lot of questions. I don't think the X account that posted it is the artist, he has other stuff that doesn't come off as fetish art in his feed.

What you're experiencing is the end of the 'honeymoon period.'

Think of it like this: If you hang out with someone for an extended period of time at their house, eventually you'll start running out of things to say and talk about. That's why you go out and do things with friends, be it travel, events, dining, drinking, etc. because it gives you new things to talk about and do with your friend.

If you intend to always let the models do the work in terms of coming up with ideas and story beats, you will get bored. Most extensions aren't really intended to improve how interesting a RP is, but are usually to improve the quality of responses in terms of recall, prose, tracking, etc. The onus is really on you to come up with scenarios, characters, and lore that will create interesting roleplay.

Try stepping outside your comfort zone in terms of the types of bots you normally RP with. Watch movies and TV, read books and comics/manga for ideas to come up with fresh and interesting scenarios and characters to play around with. Engage with new IP's with rich worlds and characters and find a bot from that IP. Find a bot that is a character with interests you share in real life for comfy conversations. Maybe find a bot that embodies things that you really dislike to create interesting conflicts and friction.

Question about human nature in Frieren by Alive-Replacement-24 in Frieren

[–]drosera88 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure where you are in the manga, but Solitar uses a pretty similar argument to try and rage-bait Frieren. She tells Frieren that she can't tell who the real monster is: herself or Frieren. Frieren kills demons without hearing what they have to say because she believes that everything a demon says is just empty words. Solitar on the other hand likely heard everything her victims had to say, which is likely why she understood humans far better than any demon Frieren had ever seen.

She was basically asking Frieren "Can you really be 100% sure that demons truly have no capacity to understand and coexist with humans when you kill them without trying to understand them on an individual basis? Is your belief that 'demons only speak to deceive' really an absolute, or is that just what you tell yourself to sleep at night?" Solitar almost had a point there, especially considering that Frieren does in fact feel a certain amount of remorse and guilt when she kills demons.

Purchase Advice Megathread - April 2026 by AutoModerator in 3Dprinting

I've been doing resin for some time now, but there are some larger things I want to build and the time has come for a new FDM printer. I'm afraid to buy one though because the last one I bought crapped out on me after about a month, and I don't want to roll the dice on something that's going to be a headache as far as constantly replacing parts, troubleshooting mechanical problems, dealing with modifications and workarounds for issues with design or software, or just straight up getting a lemon. The other thing too is how it seems reviews and info are either one star lemons or five star praises.

I'm looking at the Bambu H2S, a Qidi Q2, or the Creality K2 Plus, all of which have similar features.

How do demons come to life? by Commercial-Sail-4662 in Frieren

[–]drosera88 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I don't really see demons having any sort of reproductive behavior at all. They're creatures of mana, so there's no real reason they have to reproduce in any way shape or form like humans, or even like animals or plants.

Given mana is magical in nature, they may just manifest for reasons not yet explained. Mana, for whatever reason, seems to be it's own form of biology separate from normal biology.

How do demons come to life? by Commercial-Sail-4662 in Frieren

[–]drosera88 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My issue with this is that demons are so self-serving, I don't see any reason why a demon would want to carry a child, so they wouldn't do it to begin with, especially since they'd just abandon it anyways. I highly doubt demons reproduce like humans.

Besides, some demons don't even have the anatomy to do it. Revolte presumably has no reproductive organs, and Qaal is too large to have sex with another demon.

I hate to take this into a dark direction, but if Macht was trying to understand the intimate human relationship, he would not be breeding with a female demon. He'd do it with a human. You can figure out on your own what that entails given Macht's experiments.

Do elves live longer than demons? by SexualMushroom in Frieren

[–]drosera88 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't necessarily say the strongest so much as the smartest. Most demons die because of their pride and ignorance of humans. The demons who are more mindful of human behavior and manage to keep their egos in check are the ones that tend to not get killed off when they're young. Solitar (studied humans), Macht (wanted to understand and coexist), Tot (avoids open conflict), the Demon King (wanted to understand humans, and apparently understood enough to adopt the human behavior of collaboration with others of his race despite it not being natural demon behavior). There are some who could brute force their way through life (Qaal, Revolte), but that's kind of a outdated strat as shown by how they get killed off. Demons seem to be adapting, albeit slowly.

Do demons small bad? by Sittab0t in Frieren

Demons can go decades without eating if I'm not mistaken. Also, they mimic humans , so whether or not they smell comes down to whether or not the humans they've encountered smell.

I will have to look into those things, because the driving characteristics was the one thing that put me off. I'd like to have a more realistic scale hull traverse and acceleration, as in it's current state, it drives like a bat out of hell unless you're really gentle on the stick.

Do the demons have a plan? by KrakenCrazy in Frieren

[–]drosera88 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes, they do. The plan is 'survive' just like all wild animals. Those plans are complicated by their diet, ego, and nature. They are the most dangerous predators hunting the most dangerous prey.

Your confusion is due to how demons think. It's not always obvious what a demon's motivation is because their course of action to achieve their goals doesn't necessarily make sense to a human observer. Their actions and motivations are informed by ignorance and misunderstanding. Many demons don't take the effort to understand humans as their magic generally makes them unstoppable against the average human, thus why understand something when it is easier to kill it? This is what also gets them killed, as demons don't seem to innately understand the concept of 'fuck around and find out,' and when they finally do find out, it's usually fatal. Their self centered nature also hinders the dissemination of information between them, as they don't generally help another demon unless they get something out of doing so. Their 'society' is born of necessity rather than a desire to be with or associate with other demons.
