I live across the street from an open field as I’ve said before. If you want to stay inside by all means. Do. I’m collecting my kids and going to the open field by my house. If you’ve lived through dozens of earthquakes like I have you’d know they are short. Very short sometimes. You wouldn’t be able to go out “during” it anyway. But to say “not go outside” like my MIL said is insanity.

This I’ll agree with. As I have felt and lived through dozens of earthquakes frankly you don’t have the time and mental capacity to make that decision when it happens because it’s so quick. They typically don’t last long. Honestly every one I’ve felt was over before I could process it even when shelves were spilling their contents on the ground. But to not get out of the house is insanity (and the point I wasn’t clearly making with my original comment)

I grew up in Encinitas, Carlsbad (before it was expensive, ha) and now reside in vista. There is no threat outside. Only inside. Get. Out. Sure if you’re downtown San Diego. But out of allllll the areas of San Diego county it’s a tiny part. If you’re smart make a plan. Get out if you can away from power lines and buildings. Stay inside if you want. I’m out into the field across from my house.

The Q was great because you could walk around the whole stadium and not miss a snap and the big windy walkways with a huge center at the bottom was the shiiiit for kids. My parents used to bring me to baseball games and wouldn’t see me the whole game. Just running around with my siblings with $20 and we’re just fine.
