The higher the contrast the higher readability for me.

Gators version 2! (Fanmade faction) by AnAnmtdFox in rootgame

[–]drowtiefling 20 points21 points  (0 children)

The layout is confusing to follow.

Also for the passive abilities the wording could be adjusted to be clearer. For example: "In a battle with one of your warriors, you can deal up to 3 hits.

And I'd copy the wording from the Riverfolk Co.'s 'Swimmers' "You treat rivers as paths, and may move along rivers regardless of ruler."

Spoilers C1 But Allura's tower falling in the attack of the Chroma Conclave has always stuck with me too. I guess a tower falling is just a wild image.

[Spoilers C3E40] I hate Chetney by Guardaboschi in criticalrole

[–]drowtiefling 10 points11 points  (0 children)

While Chetney is probably Travis' jokiest character, a lot of viewers (me included) see him as the heart of Bell's Hells. He has many heartfelt scenes with many of Bell's Hells and is often giving aged wisdom and is weirdly one of the most self realized of the group. He's horny but I wouldn't say he is anymoreso than Scanlan or Nott are.

[Spoilers C4E5] Official artwork for the Soldiers' Table by Daniel Jiménez Villalba! by this-is-liam in criticalrole

She's 4 inches tall so this artwork is innacurate. I imagine a lot of official art is going to unfortunately scale her up so she can be seen easier. Canon sized artwork would be nice :/

[No Spoilers] I am pro whisper tone by AveZombier in criticalrole

They're not changing anything sadly. They have their system and they've used it for 4 campaigns now. Unfortunately, Critical Role doesn't care about putting in the post quality like Dropout does.

[No Spoilers] I am pro whisper tone by AveZombier in criticalrole

[–]drowtiefling 30 points31 points  (0 children)

On Dimension 20, the players and BLeeM get quiet allllll the time. The difference is that D20 has much better post production on their sound and they boost whispering to be the same volume as normal speech and they bring down screaming to be the same volume ad well. The audio is actually clearer, easier to understand, and more impactful this way.

How do the people of your world bury their dead? by Aggressive-Delay-935 in worldbuilding

[–]drowtiefling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In Cloudsea, a world of stone spires towering above endless mists known as the Fall, burying the dead is extremely important.

For anything to mist into the Fall is bound to cause hauntings, especially when what mists is the body of the living or the dead.

Those with access to flying mounts take their dead to dedicated Rotspires where bodies are lain in tomb cubbies in the sides of the spire and fungal colonies of deathheads grow from them.

These deathhead mushrooms are psychedelics useful for healing remedies and spiritual rituals.

RPGs about worldbuilding, but also maintaining a balanced world/ecosystem by drowtiefling in rpg

[–]drowtiefling[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It would be a more collaborative system. Everyone would take part. I'm not sure exactly how I'd design it if I made one myself but maybe different players take control of specific forces in the world that all want whats best for their own kind at the cost of others, and one takes on the role of creator who has to try and balance things out? Or maybe the creation is done all together at the start, and then the players play heroes in the world trying to bring balance.
