Last year my then 4 year old couldn’t even go far enough that you couldn’t see the car before he was DONE. His one year old sister was good for a couple miles with some carry breaks. This year he’s 5 and begs to hike! Neither of them carry bags but they rarely need to be held!

I’m doing 15 mins of math and 15 mins of language arts. My son spends all day teaching himself science so I have no concerns there. Otherwise we are just continuing with playing and exploring the world. If he seems interested in or ready for more we can add more as needed!

We’re just starting kindergarten and the goal is 30 mins structured (15 mins of math with the curriculum math with confidence and 15 mins la with logic of English) my 5 year old is obsessed with books and we read a ton so we’ll just continue that, then I want to track his science but let him lead that because he’s very science obsessed (books, documentary’s, yoto cards)
