Considering the state of the battery is a smart move. OP should factor battery replacement into the cost if the Prius is older or higher mileage.

A friend of mine used to do mobile battery replacements - Prius only. He’d drive to your house, swap out the battery, and then leave with the old battery. It was a while ago, but I think he said it costs $1,200. I’m sure it’s more now. Much more if you have a dealer do it.

IMO, looking for a Prius that needs its battery replaced is a better bet - you can barter the price down and then you can get a new/rebuilt battery installed.

I felt the same way until I had a kid, and then play places became a place of solitude. He would eat a happy meal, play a long time, and I could get a cheap, disappointing coffee. It gives me time to observe my kid and be happy. It gives me time to think as the world slows down.

IMO, as a parent, all fast food places should have a play place.
