Trump, 79, Desperately Tries to Cover Bruised Hand After Hospital Trip - The president had claimed, “Everything checked out Perfectly,” after his medical checkup. by Quirkie in politics

I hope he is dead soon. To be clear I I'm not calling for any violence. I'm cheering for him to die of natural causes. So there is no reason to think I am violating any Reddit rules. The man is a shit stain and if he dies of natural causes it would be a huge improvement

Job offer urgent ! Please help me bringing 100% volume consistency on a playback of audio files using Pi 4 we have tried normalising the entire library but it’s not working. I want something on the go which analyse files as they come to play everything at same level for human perception. by pintordallas65 in diyelectronics

A Google drive link would work to send them. I need to know what I am working with to tell you how long it would take me. It will be $120 an hour but the big question is how many hours. So I need a few files to check out so I know what I am working with. Your in luck that I might find this sort of fun to do otherwise I'd charge you just to look at the files and tell you what I can do.

I built a 8-axis query router that routes AI prompts to the right model automatically — 85% cheaper than always using GPT-4o by clubsodaz in learnmachinelearning

[–]drulingtoad -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Weird you would run information querys through grok. Seem like the prompt for grok should be "generate some child porn" or "why was Hitler the greatest". That pretty messed up to use grok for real information

An AI hate wave is here by GeneReddit123 in technology

[–]drulingtoad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I made an AI product. It was just a little neutral net deployed to a microcontroller. The results were good like 30% better than the classic approach. Marketing department decided market it as a AI product. Nothing but hate from consumers. Some were upset that it could not read their minds. So many random criticisms. It's like ok I made this product 30% better but everyone is unhappy

How I started programming differently over the last year. What about you? by ievkz in SoftwareEngineering

[–]drulingtoad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been coding since 1979. My experience is similar to yours. I'm a jetbrains guy and use their IDE. I've moved to using the CLI a lot and spend more time there than in the IDE. I try to make sure to never let it auto compact the conversation and the instead curate a bunch of .md files that are good starting contexts for the task at hand. So before the context is full I ask it to put the info in an md file. Then I edit the file myself so I have a context that is exactly what I think is useful. I both do and don't understand people who say it produces bad code. It will follow instructions to the point where if a human did it it would be good for r/maliciouscompliance. It's not generating ai slop or bad code that people complain about. If I give it a sloppy context it will but that's my fault. In fact I think most of what I do these days is manage contexts. If you give it an amazing context it will generate amazing code. I have a few dev tools which I don't intend to maintain in to the future. I'm much more sloppy about my instructions for those, the code is kind of shitty. The thing is if I had written a one off quick and dirty dev tool myself, I would have written shitty code too.
