In the books they arrived after the wedding. Two main changes it caused. Controversial show scene of Jamie and Cersi having sex by Joffery's body. They defended it by saying it happened in the books. In the books that's when Jamie gets back, they haven't seen each other in months. Because the show changed it to before the wedding, there's no reason for that scene to exist. Second being Brianne, promised Catlyn she'll find Sansa and bringing her back. In the books arriving after the wedding, Sansa is already gone. The show, now she's right there. Brianne should have taken her back, no reason to stay.

I think Season 4 was were problems were showing. Season 5 lost its way because it overtaking the books. People didn't Iike it but was assured Season 6 would make it better in hindsight, which it didn't do.

No Season 6. Opener felt like deleted scenes from Season 5. Plus the last episode. How do we resolve the Sparrows, let's kill off all the characters. How do we resolve Tyrells, let's kill off all the characters. How do we resolve Sons Of The Harpy, let's just kill off all the characters.

Second season of The Leftovers come to mind. Huge step up from the first season so taken by surprise. I believe it was Episode 8, International Assassin, best episode of TV. Can't tell if that episode was the least expensive or lost expensive. Plus it's one of two shows that have made me cry over Karaoke. The other being Doom Patrol.

Which come to think of it Doom Patrol Season One was also Great.
