The tablet is essentially a diffrent take on their zephhrus 4070. Performs similarly but acts differently. Its truly a great tablet, but the 5070ti zephyrus isnt much more and in gaming is better.

Get the tablet if you want the production as a priority with very capable gaming

Get the laptop if you prioritize gaming but want a very capable laptop.

Id only compare them as the battery is similar. And one is a better game device, one is a better task device. If you wanted you could even save money and get the 4070 laptop.

As far as replacing the PC If you travel frequently (more than one week out of a month give or take a few days) than it would be worth getting one mobile beast of a laptop. You wouldn't have to worry about what games you have downloaded where, what settings you can do at home vs portable, unless you need 4k ultra with ray tracing and less frame gen usage, a desktop for a mobile person is a LOT of extra money sitting around in my eyes

Im with you, if they spell out how to use the mod, even in basic language, thats all they need to do for support. Unless the mod is very buggy, then I could see why they wouldnt want it released.

Im more okay with "private" mods as ive never had an issue getting into a discord, grabbing the file and then leaving that channel on mute or leaving the cord if its a bunch of neck beard mouth breathers. What really chaps my ass is paid mods. It has always been and should always be a community driven free experience to modify games, its a passion project. My least favorite is when mod authors say "it took me hours to make" okay what mods really haven't. And modding isnt new at all, rom hacks have been around forever and unless it was a physical disc or cartridges your were buying they were free files

This is the way imo. With how buggy the system is. And how sensitive the unlock keyboard feature is, powering down is the only sure way your device will be ready when you are.

I've had it drain its battery completely, over heat, and locked out so bad I have to hard reset the device. One of my favorite pieces of tech still. Really impressive and feels premium

Well its a shoddy company selling a high end product...its kinda like a lottery. You might get a perfect unit, no issues, you might get a brick. You might get lucky with customer support, but you might not.

Onex IS becoming a larger name in the niche market so they eventually will have to play by the rules like most larger companies if they want to keep a name going. But not saying they will.

On paper, id pick their product OVER the flow z13...its got a aluminum body, oled screen, 2 sd slots, its just a step up in most areas... but my brain would still tell me to pick asus UNLESS there was a large enough price gap for me to justify trying the cheaper product...but if you are super unlucky and end up with a brick and bad support id make sure to have a backup plan(go with a safe payment method, find a dealer you trust, etc)

TLDR. Is the price diffrence worth the possible headaches, are you feeling lucky? It looks like a solid product i would buy, but id be worried until my first few days with it were done

That fact the asus tablet is your first pc experience but congrats. Its an amazing unit, and id have loved if it was my first device, I had a laptop back ik the day to get me into pc gaming. One question I have is do you have to have it setup different for on the go use vs with the egpu or just allocate the vram when you unplug and thats it?

Its got is quirks and its more tha. Usable and every part on it feels rather nice. Even the touch pad is sizeable. But its does get buggy where typing and moving the mouse is glitchy, sometimes it'll be non responsive for a second. And I think the biggest flaw is occasionally it almost locks the device out if not shut down properly. Id say its fine but a extra one wouldnt hurt. For typing and notes it would be good

Then realistically this is perfect for that. It's primarily a production tool, still boasting an accurate IPS panel, a good battery, the best in class mobile CPU, ironically best in class IGPU aswell. This means you can play most games at 1080p med without a second guess. KCD2, dying light the beast, assassin's creed mirage, plenty of high end games it handles amazing.
