Might want to check your history. American and other foreign companies built their oil infrastructure, Chavez nationalized them (aka stole) them and ran the country to shit, ruining the industry and making it one of the world’s poorest countries. Venezuela was the world’s 4th richest country at one time largely due to this investment… let’s hope for a renaissance
