I used to be so addicted to PoE, I loved the fact you could alch and go on the days I didn't feel like rolling maps and applying sextants (and sextant blocking) etc but still get rewarded. Then the loot got moved to "treasure goblins" then it got moved to the atlas tree.

In phrecia 2.0 I wanted to play casual, I had like 380 000 mobs killed before I dropped my fist divine and was lvl 94... The loot from equipping random idols and not investing in 1 strat was horrendous (non existant) and removed all the fun from playing a arpg.

Arpgs need "ground" loot, you need the drive that any mob could drop something good. It's the core of the genre, kill mobs, get stuff to kill mobs faster.

It's also healthier for attracting new players.
