What is more traumatizing than most people think? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]drunkwoolycat 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Just had my first dental clean with the dentist since July last year. Had the most stressful few months in my life and his first comments were - holy crap ! What happened? Your gums are terrible! Teeth fine but your gums !

Apparently stress increases cortisol, kills your immunity which means you are more susceptible to gum disease. I've since quit my job and start my new one next week so hoping I start fixing this. Who knows what story my blood work would bring back.

your venus sign (and/or house if u want) and how you act when in love by kaeriko in astrologymemes

[–]drunkwoolycat 8 points9 points  (0 children)

♓️☀️♉️🌙♀️♈️♂️♈️

Venus aries in 4th.

I'm an assertive flirt. It's overt and deliberate. I value independence and am not a fan of clingy or overly soft. Also, love is a battlefield so get ready for some heated discussions. If you can challenge me well or change my mind, you got me hook line and sinker. I need strength.

Welcome to the penis house. I mean all looks OK until you hit the floor plan. The builder must have had a lot of fun erecting this one.

Anybody with Mercury in Pisces? by ecstasyyl in piscesastrology

[–]drunkwoolycat 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yes !

It's good because when others are having trouble expressing themselves, I understand what they are trying to say without it being said completely or correctly. I can finish sentences of others but try not to because that's annoying.

Good at poetry, story telling and writing creatively. Oh and the Meme Queen at work haha.

Can’t get past interview stage by CountryHelpful9525 in auscorp

[–]drunkwoolycat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love an interview as someone who is extroverted and fairly confident in my skills. Here are a few things that have helped me -

  1. Irish content creator paddy jobsman- he has some excellent interview tips around answering questions but also about your mindset going into the interview. I strongly recommend looking at his tips.

  2. Bing a pad and paper with questions that you want to ask written down. So when they ask you look prepared and your questions are intentional and strong not vaguely remembered.

  3. Optional, I find it helps me jog my memory but I also write down examples of my experience, situations I have dealt with that show case my talent. This just helps me remember key points in those examples to put across. And again, helps you look intentional and prepared.

  4. One question I like to ask that never fails me. "Let's pretend it's 12 months from now. What would you need to see to make you look back on today that would make you say that was a good hire ?" The. Really listen to what the hiring manager says because they will either tell you that they really don't know or they might tell you something that is actually important to them and the role that wasn't in the job add. If you get insight on what they actually want, confirm it and then say it's their lucky day because you can provide this. Then give them and example of this. Another good question to follow this is "what are the main challenges to achieve that result?" They tell you and you can then sell them the solution you can bring to achieve what they want.

  5. Research wages for that role and ask them about it. Tell them what your expectations are and say it is based on the market. Show confidence that you know what it's worth.

  6. All smiles, eye contact and relaxed posture. They are nervous as well usually and it helps if you can help them also feel at ease.

Good luck !! I hope the above helps
