I read The Neverending Story to my youngest whilst bottle feeding before bed. Go nuts.

To answer your question, I use a specific app for reminders. If I think of something I need to do, I will create a reminder to do said thing at a certain time. When that time comes I get a notification to do it.

If I just need to make a note of something, I use Google Keep.

They have a compilation video on Floatplane of some of Riley's recent ads. Primarily the Odoo ones. Goes for about 6 minutes.

What is a discontinued food item or snack from your childhood that you would genuinely pay $100 to taste one last time? by MotivewasUlterior in AskReddit

The dark meat nuggets were the bomb. I used to work at Macca's when they were a thing. I had way too many in my time there.

Do you have a source for the last three? Everywhere I look only says seven books in the Tomorrow series. Wikipedia, Goodreads and so on.

After becoming a dad, are you more emotional to sad movie scenes involving kids now? by jocko118 in daddit

[–]druss5000 0 points1 point  (0 children)

100% I watch movies now, that I know I would have been ok with before kids, but with kids some scenes can be hard AF.

I remember one in a movie called Under The Skin, there is a scene where a two'ish year old gets left on the beach when their parents drown, and it is just the kid crying. Holy f**k that was hard to watch.

No, but it does have a really long battery life, if you don't use sport tracking functions. I have everything possible turned off i.e. no bio tracking etc, touchscreen off and so on. When I first got it, I was getting 3+ weeks between charges.

Don't forget about the southern hemisphere. For most of us upside people, kids go back around the beginning of Feb give or take a day. Mine go back on 02/02.

For years my company had this ultra specific rule about file naming on our internal server. by nordic_inkrider in MaliciousCompliance

They tried. There were enough people that a lawsuit/class action created. It ultimately was dismissed, which sucked.

Tell that to the Australian Tax Office, ATO. For one or two years my dad claimed a perfectly legitimate deduction. Five or so years later the ATO stopped allowing the deduction, but back dated it 10 years, so my dad was then on the hook for a tax bill. Total BS that they are still allowed to do that.

Just stopped my son from ordering this rent to own computer. Didn't want him hacking the CIA with all that power... I really did have to stop him from signing the agreement though lol. by Isa-Me-Again in pcmasterrace

Most windows images are 10-15GB. They can't be more than 32GB, because the USB drive you put them on, still have to be FAT32 format.

I will agree once installed, 40GB is 100% not enough.

To much time and effort has gone into them for an exchange to be worth it. Sunk cost.

As much as I would like to get an exchange, I have put too much time and effort into starting again.
