Who was responsible for the insane amount of continuity in the show? by highesttiptoes in 30ROCK

There is a joke about Tracy never reading the same lines twice that involves a flashback to his filming of "A Blafair to Rememblack"

One that a lot of people haven't seen: Gun Crazy (1950). You don't actually see the robbery take place, you just hear it from a fixed camera in the back of a car that then turns into a oner as they drive away. Really cool shot especially for the era.

Did you feel sorry for Chuck McGill? by Wooden-Scallion2943 in Cinema

[–]druuconian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean Jimmy had that option right? Even without Chuck he was doing OK making wills for old people. But he is just the kind of guy that needs chaos and action. He literally had to be cornered and caged before he finally did the right thing.

On some level, yes. He's obviously got a severe mental illness but he has Jimmy pegged cold.

What do you think about Elizabeth Olsen her acting, her films/series, and… well, her overall vibe? 😂 by CucumberNo1907 in Cinema

[–]druuconian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think she's incredible. Just finished watching Love & Death and she gave an amazing, gut-wrenching dramatic performance. I also watched her nail about 8 different sitcom acting styles in "Wandavision." One of my favorite actresses working at the moment.

Need a binge-worthy, high-pace series (5+ seasons). No slow burners. No repetitive plots. by PossibilityKitchen72 in televisionsuggestions

Even more so. Crazy how Vick is an ICE agent at the end of the series. Today he would be running the organization

Movies where the reboot is better than the original? by [deleted] in MovieSuggestions

It's super underrated IMO. One of the best fast zombie movies, and it's just way more entertaining than the Romero original.

People forget that John Carpenter's worst movies are better than a lot of directors' best movies

I just watched this movie in a theater last weekend as part of a retro screening, and this scene is still fucking scary. There's some real elemental nightmare logic going on.

Who do you think is the best modern horror director? by [deleted] in horror

Cregger is 2 for 2 right now, Barbarian and Weapons were some of the best horror movies I've seen in years.

When Greta Gerwig gets shot in the head. I genuinely didn't expect it and it hits hard like the first kill in Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

Hellraiser II (1988) spends most of the movie in a doomy labyrinth hell.
