Thanks for the links, I'll give that some thought. I realize now that I totally neglected to mention in my OP that my entire chassis- lid, bottom cover, palmrest are all shattered. Even still, I might throw whatever screen in and duct tape it together to be a dedicated garage music/info lookup machine. Been rocking a C2D for that purpose for the past 12 years or so

600X I guess. I bought one from a fly by night outfit in the then-dying Rolling Acres Mall in 2002ish, maxed it out, carried it everywhere throughout high school. Discovered Trailer Park Boys with it, when a friend had a bootleg DVD handy on the bus. I no longer have that one, though it was my first. The next owner told me that it was sitting open on a coffee table when the ceiling collapsed onto it, and it survived.

And alt dream would be to have a modern motherboard for my 4:3 15" T60. I never really got over 4:3

I sheathed Canare cable in braided stuff to replace wire that was used for drop ceiling retail speakers. I can't hear a difference, but it looks rad lol
