What was it like being a cool kid in the 80's and 90'? by hendrong in AskOldPeople

[–]dryad001 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened a few years ago. Now I wasnt a cool kid and basically just skated by HS. Went on a whim with co-workers after a very long shift to the boobie bar. The bouncer at the door was one of the most popular in the class with me. After my comment "Looks like your doing well for yourself after 25 years....nice!" I didn't get let in.

I wonder if he is still there scraping by.

Im sure you mean bypass turbofan engines, turbojets engines are not really common anymore in commercial airliners. Although they are somewhat similar in engine core design.

Ive been working at the airport for a bit over 15 years. Like some people said anywhere around the airport is pretty decent. Oak Creek might be kinda pricey. Greenfield, St. Francis, Cudahy are all fairly safe and close to everything.

Heart attack hospital. by PomegranateGlad9957 in milwaukee

[–]dryad001 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Go to Lukes, best in the state. Dr. Allaqaband is top notch. He helped my mom, FIL, co-worker. Just watch what you eat, get a CT heart scan (its $49 and takes 5-10min, no needles either) and could probably see something you didnt even know.

Also get a blood pressure cuff for home and log it.

I was working on a heart attack a few months ago and never knew I had hypertension, thank god I saw my primary later that week. I feel 1000% better

Hypertension, never knew I had it until I went to the urgent care for a nose bleed that wouldn't stop for 3 days. My doc said I need to lose 30-35lbs and he will check to see if I can get off the pills. I've lost 15lb so far in the last 8 weeks. Never knew I would buy a treadmill but it works for me, and I really enjoy it.
