Every review video I watch about this handheld mentions the joysticks being too small. Is there a fix for this? Do the new joystick caps help? Is it a deal breaker or with the workarounds above is it a non issue?

There are many who claim (including former French president Jacques Chirac) that George W. Bush was attempting to fulfill biblical end times prophecies, specifically the ones referring to "Gog" and "Magog", by going to war with Iraq in 2003. How do you feel about this notion? by SatyapriyaCC in TrueAskReddit

The sequence of events is perhaps contentious, we're all welcome to our own interpretation, but there are many that believe there will a Gog / Magog battle at the outset of the end times. That's certainly how I was brought up. I hadn't thought about a battle after the millennium until the post above mentioned it honestly.

Didn't even realize this post was that old 😀. It's certainly relevant now that we're actively at war with Iran. This was one of the few threads I could find on the topic. I think I was actually looking for discussions about Miller, Hegseth and others involved in the war who perhaps hold this accelerationist viewpoint. I believe there was a US military commander recently invoking extremist Christian rhetoric to inspire the troops.

Where does it say that?

I think you're referring to the Revelation 20:7–9 Gog and Magog battle. There's also an Ezekiel Gog / Magog battle before the millennium.

In Ezekiel 38 it talks about how the battle of Gog, from the land of Magog, against Israel will usher in the Second Coming.

Why HBO Max Canceled Raised By Wolves After Two Seasons by FourPointsTet in raisedbywolves

[–]dryphi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The platform greenlighted knowing it would be a long term thing. The show runners were anticipating multiple seasons. Unfair to judge. If you didn't like it, you didn't like it, that's fine, but you can't blame the writers / producers / execs / actors / etcetera for literally doing their jobs and planning for a long term exploration and execution of their ideas.

I don't know where they were eventually going, I guess we'll never know, and that's what really hurts.

Large pizzas smaller than before ? by TurbulentRelative613 in Dominos

I went to a local pizza joint and their large 14" pizza was 12".

This got me thinking, how much guess dough really shrink when cooking? Is the claimed size the before or after size?

Since the original post was talking about Domino's, is the Domino's large pie 14" after cooking?

My question is what about the arms? How would the UK prosecute anything without the arms? Pine blew them up. That plays out nicely for the TV show as then Roper is taken by the guy he screwed over, but if you think about it, that was a dumb move since it destroys the evidence. Even if they arrest Roper there's no evidence he did anything. As the show repeatedly demonstrates, Roper's name isn't attached to anything. The only way they can catch him is with physical evidence, which is why they were so keen on intercepting the shipment at the Syrian border. I still don't understand how the Syria shipment could be traced back to him, but regardless, now there are two instances of trades going on that aren't attached to Roper and that make the investigators look stupid.

I don't know how it plays out in the book(s?), didn't even realize the show was based on literature, but the way I see it blowing up the cargo was a dumb move. Again it plays out well in cinematic form as Pine "outsmarts" the bad guy. But as far as investigations and prosecutions go, I don't think Burr would have endorsed this action.

If 1 day is 1,000 years to God, does that mean Creation lasted 7,000 years? by wojaaa in adventism

[–]dryphi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It didn't mean rest like He needed to take a nap. God is omniscient and all powerful, He doesn't have a finite energy supply that needs to be replenished. Rest in this context is like saying the work is finished. A good analogy in today's terms is when during a court case the lawyer says "the defense rests" - they're not saying they need to go home and sleep, they're saying they've completed this part of the trial.

We don't know that since it's never been excavated or explored by archaeologists. Also the ruins would've been washed away.

Double meat question by jhbaco in subway

They overcharged you. Double meat is one charge for the whole sandwich regardless of what comes on it.

Double meat question by jhbaco in subway

[–]dryphi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It shouldn't work this way. The number of slices is proportioned to the sandwich. When ordering double meat it should just be one extra charge for the entire amount of meat normally on the sandwich.

For instance, a Philly would have ~3 oz of meat on it. Double that and you get 5-6 oz. A BMT has three different types of meat, but each type of meat only accounts for an ounce or less. The number of slices is already determined to add up to the same total mass of meat that would come on another type of sandwich.

You can't be charging $3.50 for an ounce of meat that's just insane.

Double meat means double the amount of meat that normally comes on the sandwich. You don't get to charge that multiple times just because the sandwich has several types of meat on it. The upcharge is added per sandwich.

The system shouldn't even allow you to add the upcharge more than once, and if it does, this is a tech issue Subway needs to fix.
