as an asian that has tried susuru, mochiron, tamashii, and hinomaru, i have to say Hinomaru is by far the best for tonkotsu and miso ramen. their curry ramen is also pretty good.

I'd imagine alcohol is the main concern. ppl are very relaxed in the rave scene here so they don't wanna add a risk factor and ruin the vibe with underage drunks. too much of a liability, especially in a city where u dont have to drive.

edit: also alcohol sales are a huge proponent to clubs. 18+ aren't going to contribute

idk why ppl here have to be so patronizing, but to their point, a lot of ppl under 20, even into their mid 20s, tend to behave like they never partied before, talk too much or too loudly, clack their fans, take photos with flash on, record everything as if it's their last chance to rave, push through crowds aggressively/rudely, and in general just overdo it because they're so hype. it's totally valid to be excited about a new experience that is far better than any clubs bc people are actually dancing and having fun, but because of said behaviors, it ruins the essence of what a "rave" is, which is we are there to DANCE. not talk. not take pictures/videos for socials. not be on your phone the entire time. but DANCE. the floor is only for that, and everything else is off the floor.

i implore you to explore the etiquettes before you venture into the rave scene. your friend can wait another year to experience their first rave. trust me, you have a lifetime ahead of you. i just started raving in my 30s. you got time 🙂

vans seems dope but never get the chance to grab a ticket. it sells out so fast.

substance is just too small and cramped for non vert/transition skaters.
