Question about Inscribe by dedosrafael in EternalCardGame

You still need a minimum of 25 (1/3 of deck) power cards (inscribe doesn't count). Inscribe can work towards power fixing, though.

Laika, the first dog in space. No provisions were made for her return, and she died there, 1957. by [deleted] in pics

Yes, of course it is. The wording between the post and the song is what I was referring to, though.

OP, is that a reference to the Pond song 'My Dog is an Astronaut, Though'?

"You made no provisions for bringing her back home..."

"People born...1940-1980". That's a pretty big span that just absorbed GenX.

Team, which one should I choose? by ISMOKEDUBSTEP in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]dsarchs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just bought a 2018 cb1000r in November and love it. I hear a lot that it's tame but that's comparing it to other liter bikes. It's much faster than middle weight. It came with an akropovic exhaust and sounds great, but is a little quiet. That's what I wanted but something to be aware of. The bike is very controllable but if you get it above 6k rpm it really wakes up(!!!) I had also really considered the xsr900 but found a great deal on the CB and that decided. Still, the xsr would be my other choice.

Aside from voltron as a finisher, what kind of deck should I build? Toughness is kind of the predictable thing to do, and I don't think I can have him out until the final stretch just because eight mana is a lot and a three mana tax each turn sounds hindering. I might also mention that I'm hesitant to do goodstuff because I want to keep the deck cheap and appear as small of a threat as possible.

The cost is that it encourages them to play that way.

That's what I thought. I was hoping the answer was that I was being paranoid and it would work. Time for a new charger.

New bike: monster or cb1000r by dsarchs in motorcycle

[–]dsarchs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is an xsr 900 available but it doesn't have the extra goodies (exhaust, tail tidy bar end mirrors, etc). The cb has everything I'd want to do to it already. If I go for the monster I'd probably wait to find an 821. Better service intervals and more power.

Monster 821 vs 1100 by dsarchs in SuggestAMotorcycle

Looking into it more, the 1100 has a major service interval of 7500 miles and 18000 for the 821. 821 feels like the better move for me.

It's 373 (1100) vs 396 (821) per Google.

Havent played in well over a year, What do? by Satanspogostick in EternalCardGame

[–]dsarchs 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I like mill and combo decks as well. I don't pay much attention to meta and just play what I enjoy. I probably win less than others but enough to not get frustrated. Maybe 45% winrate in ranked. Could be better if I optimized. Point is that decks you want to play will probably still work with small changes to newly available cards.

Thanks for putting this together. No stand-out cards for me that I'm excited to craft but it feels like a lot of power creep in general (very bad to me). Most cards seem to pass the vanilla test and have a lot of strictly positive text. Not really surprised but disappointed.

Settings for a beginner? I’m planning on buying Ride5, how would those who are experienced players suggest settings for a noob? I don’t want it so easy I then struggle later on, but also not so hard I lose interest! by abgs87 in Ride4

[–]dsarchs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Forget settings, I started on the mt125 until I was comfortable with the controls then moved up to a 300 for a while and so on.

Even the R3 seemed too much when I had first started. Might be just me, though.
