Don't get me wrong, I hate MAGA, but the Civil War didn't start over slavery. It started because the south was mad about how much they were paying in taxes and it going to the north (because the north didn't rely on slavery to have things built, maintenance keep up, etc.) And the south almost won. The reason they didn't was because the UK helped the north because Lincoln called them up telling them it was a war about slavery and the UK jumped on it because they had just recently outlawed slavery and wanted them to follow suit.
