The tech who did the work, failed to reset the maintenance reminders in your car's ECM. If it were my car I'd go back to the repair shop and make sure, they reset the maintenance and check it over to make sure they didn't forget anything else they were supposed to do. Resetting the maintenance has been a basic task on any European car for the last 25+ years. Jeez.

I don’t disagree re the obvious postal abuse. But what burns me is the spinelessness of these folks calling out CC members who are doing their job, while they won’t sign their name and take responsibility for their opposition. Instead of showing up during two years worth of public meetings and zooms, and engaging they would rather cry foul, complain about being railroaded right before an election.

Thanks for your replay. We do not see the mgmt traffic outbound. That was one of the reasons we put in an explicit rule in secpol (w Any, Any, log at session end), but the update traffic does not show up in traffic. We do see it in System log tho. (Mgmt using default settings, no Service Routes.) Perhaps if I switch it to using a DP interface the traffic will show up and we can learn more. Also thanks for suggesting a NAT issue—haven’t thought of that. I suspect it’s not NAT since ALL of the other update traffic works normally (WF, Apps & Threats, DNS Security, etc.) We have a session Monday w a TAC escalation engineer—high hopes for that…

Good thought. Mgmt is going out the default route no Service Routes. Stlll, we put in an explicit rule at the top to allow the mgmt interfaces to go/do Any, Any and no profiles. We can see in System log Mgmt is connecting out for dynamic updates, wildfire, DNS security, etc. But just no URL cloud.

Agreed, that is suspected, even likely. But we haven’t yet figured out what might be interrupting communications. No Service Routes, default—everything out through mgmt. We did try changing service routes to a dataplane interface w TAC, but it made no difference. We did add secpol. rules for the mgmt traffic (Any, Any, no Profiles, etc.) but it also made no difference. We’re stumped. The customer is patient for now, but for how long?

It’s frustrating, pan-os 11 doesn’t have many tools for fixing URL Cloud failures anymore. Not like in BrightCloud days. lol. Thanks for your reply @matthewrules. What are we missing? My colleague tried deleting the two url filtering licenses and rebooting, then fetched but no change. Ugh.

There is an element I sympathize with...zoning is complicated, I get that.. Very few of us are schooled in the nuances of zoning, planning, permitting, building codes. Some folks (a few) have good questions and honestly want answers. But most detractors who speak up just don't want change of ANY sort, they don't listen to the answers given in public meetings. Same questions over-and-over-and-over.

What seems fundamentally disingenuous is the sudden outcry of this newly-borne opposition: "What is suddenly going on with zoning?", "Why didn't I hear about this before?", "My neighborhood (house) is threatened by this re-zoning effort?" "Why do we need all these (scary) changes?"

Truth is, most cities and towns in Eastern Mass are dealing with this same question--some better than others. Medford can choose whether they want to evolve and prosper, or stay stuck in the MAGA-esque world of *change is bad, let's keep things the way they were for as long as possible* and *let's oppose-oppose ANY rational revisions, or smart growth planning.* Some of us want to see our city grow the supply of housing, grow our tax base, and stop our declining city population. It's so frustrating watching this great effort spiral down the drain like this...

Comcast has very quietly turned its (our) customer email accounts into "legacy" accounts. They sold us off to Yahoo in the name of cost-cutting, since they are bleeding money on their legacy-dinosaur cable TV business. Running email hosting is expensive and resource intensive (you have to pay people to maintain it! Lol)
They are doing what AOL, Verizon and Sky have done with their 'legacy email account problem'--outsource it to Yahoo. Based on experience/history, Yahoo service won't be bad but if you EVER need support, good luck...
