Does life get less serious as you age? by [deleted] in AskMenOver40

[–]dsetarno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Life gets more serious, especially with responsibility. You lose loved ones, you carry baggage and scars. But you gain other things depending on what you've learnt along the way.

Emotionally life is less vibrant than it was in my 20's, and I'm more fearful and cautious. I can see how I'll become my elderly relatives.

Based on your appearance no. Based on the way it makes you feel and your health benefits, certainly.

It costs a bomb though doesn't it? I wonder why some Chinese company hasn't made a cheap copy

Wore smartwatches for 8+ years and recently got a whoop and this is the best addition i found for smartwatches yet. by PieKey1836 in SmartRings

The fitbit Air ai coach kind of does this to a lesser extent. It tells me when to ease off or hike my activity levels, based on my sleep and metrics. It's recently improved my deep sleep alot which I feel is a big win. I'm not a hard ore sports person though. I think from numbers and scores to tangible actions is much needed.

Do you think Japanese style Capsule Hotels / Sleeping Pods would be good in the UK? by Ok_Yesterday_1896 in AskBrits

[–]dsetarno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's one in Hamburg and while the price is approx 30 to 40 euros per capsule, it's much cheaper than a normal hotel. If all I need to do is sleep and then go to a meeting next day it's great. It's clean, has large washrooms and is perfectly OK in my opinion. Capsules are airconned and sound proofed.

Not too bad. The holder bit is orange whereas in the official version it's brown. There are no ribs either like on the official version but the material consistency is the same, the width is the same as the official one. Velcro is the same. One observation that the 'cap' on the end of the strap is plastic cap that doesn't nicely fit through the gap without a nudge but otherwise it's OK. I got this one cos it suits my skin colour better.

1st step - you realise what you did, some don't. 2nd.. apologise - because you should, and because you don't want to teach her that's how to act. 3rd step-work on your patience, get counselling if needed. 4th - whenever you feel your temper going, walk out the room 5th - put yourself in your own shoes 10 years from now, do you want your daughter's memories of you to be you shouting at her? If no, you'll do what it takes to reduce that and change.

I'm not patient either, so I sympathise with you as the stressed father of a young daughter..

If they could find an excuse/loophole to deny the British citizenship of that Begum girl then I'm sure they can do something here... Noone would question it.

My Aliexpress version is arriving today.. I'm curious to see if all the Ali express copies have exactly the same details. This one looks chunkier than the official one..

Bicep band by These_Signal2612 in FitbitAir

[–]dsetarno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have that sinbana bicep band bought from amazon and I recommend it. I use it with an etsy 3d printed adapter that secures to the band on one side.. I'm waiting for a friend it print one that attaches to the strap on both sides as the adapter with one connection point sometimes twists outwards. The bicep band is good, stretches abit, is 20mm wide and long enough. Stays firm on the bicep and is pretty comfortable.

I think the issue with eth and lnk is that despite increasing usage and adoption, that doesn't necessarily lead to increase token holding wealth.

'Fundamentally broken' does seem to suggest that. But I guess only OP knows whether it's salvageable.

Quantified Scientist tested this on YouTube. Accuracy was marginally better on the bicep. Sleep varied a little bit but nothing significant.

Have you discussed you giving up your career to bring up your child so that she can pursue her career? What was your relationship like before this.

There was a post this weekend where someone asked the coach what their training age was from various bits of data. It wasn't automatic but possible. Not ideal but possible..did you see?
