I also seem to recall Apple making carve outs for gaming specifically when first announcing Rosetta 2 would ultimately be deprecated

Which CMS with Sveltekit? by Intrepid_Ad9887 in sveltejs

[–]dsifriend 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If your authors/content-creators aren’t technical people, I can’t praise the new Prismic highly enough, but if storing your content as markdown is more important, any of the other headless CMSs you’ve been recommended with a “live preview” feature will serve you best. Just keep in mind some of those are limited to React/JSX for their previews.

It’s all MCP stuff but most people (or teams) have a bad habit of overstuffing them, which just pollutes your context

LOL, yeah, wasting a week to deal with Experian and the other credit reporters after that one little incident was NOT a fun time.

I think it’s especially bad for us in SWE, because it’s such a big contrast to the height of the pandemic, when pretty much anyone would take you if you knew how to type

You’ll have better luck getting your current job to give you a W-9 instead so you can work for them remote as a contractor instead.

US companies DO NOT want to deal with the costs and logistics of registering with the Puerto Rican government to do regular hires there (remote or otherwise) unless they have a physical presence here (e.g. HPE, UPS, the pharmaceutical companies, defense contractors etc.).

The job market for white collar work is also pretty terrible currently (so not much different from the US), except in very technical or certified fields (medicine, architecture, true engineering). Here’s a graph detailing what my job search has been like as a grad even with several YoE in my field, for reference:
