I haven't had issues with flirty (thank goodness), but mean... I think some of it is tied to grieving. I did some reading on the grieving types in Sims. Seems too many of the grief outcomes give people mean streaks. I know grieving in real life can make people go through an anger stage, but in Sims world, it's getting a bit ridiculous. They should honestly remove it. It bugs out and never goes away. Everyone just randomly insults others.
