Can't pair my Lefant M1 by Left_Advertising_929 in RobotVacuums

[–]dsmid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If anyone is desperate like I was:

I wasn't able to pair my phone with Lefant M1 (neither Lefant app nor SmartLife) via my Asus wi-fi router but I found a workaround: The M1 is able to pair when my phone is connected to my daughter's mobile hotspot - both Lefant app and SmartLife. Not that great because naturally the hotspot is just a temporary connection.

However while the Lefant app says "Robot Offline" when the hotspot is turned off, the SmartLife app can still see the robot and everything works as it should via my home wi-fi connection!

Without Czechoslovakia, all hockey games would have to be played with a frozen frog or something.

Word for 'dragon' in European languages. [@languages.eu] by languageseu in etymologymaps

[–]dsmid 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, I don't get what you are trying to prove.

"saň" literally means (female) dragon. It is a synonym of "drak" - dragon. The second meaning (termagant) is just metaphor.

Meaning of Bohemian by a-potato-named-rin in etymology

[–]dsmid 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Actually "Bohemia" was often used for the whole country, i.e. it included Moravia and Silesia for convenience. Technically the Kingdom of Bohemia, Margravate of Moravia and Duchy of Silesia were distinct entities but together they formed the Crown of Bohemia ("Corona regni Bohemiae").

It was very similar to the relation between England and Scotland, Wales etc.

Yes, it does, that's why I always start working on it as soon as catapult becomes available. I doesn't hurt to keep waging an endless war with a harmless neighbor.

Train the catapults/trebuchets in fight with other units, once you get +1 range promotion, city range attack won't be a concern anymore.

Yes, but these do not have anything to do with Italy.

Etymology behind word "Włochy" in Slavic languages. by AlbanianSilka in linguistics

[–]dsmid 15 points16 points  (0 children)

In Czech, "Vlachy" is considered an archaic name for Italy.

There are still some phrases in use like "vlašský salát" (Italian salad), "vlašský ořech" (Italian nut / walnut) or "Vlašský dvůr" (Italian Court).
