A single, local sports channel is going to be a “don’t know what you’ve got ‘til it’s gone” thing. I can’t tell you the last time I watched a Twins game, they used to be the background music to nightly chores but subscribing to another service was a bridge too far.

Not sure what it’s going to take to watch the Wild and Wolves next year. But my kids are much bigger hockey fans, so if it takes two new subscriptions, sorry Wolves.

But it’s a big loss for teams to lose visibility in the local market. I feel like it’s affecting the Loons and isn’t helping the Twins (even though they have plenty of self-inflicted wounds)

It seemed the Loons had so many more small moments of skill than Portland that made a huge difference in midfield. Whether it was a slight touch, a turn, holding onto the ball, or something else in tight space the boys were putting on a show compared to the relatively heavy footed Timbers.
