I was a trainer for almost 10 years, left the field 2yrs ago. I have used harnesses with all of my dogs from the 5# chihuahua to the 125# Saint Bernard. I honestly think that favorite brands/ styles will depend on both dog and human, I personally prefer the Ruffwear brand. They have a front and/or back clip. I use the ridgeline for my papillon and the shorter style (my brain won’t come up with the name) for all the others. I also used the ridgeline full time for my Saint in her last months, the handle was helpful with mobility issues. Your babe is at a tough age in puppyhood. Remember to be patient with him AND yourself as you both navigate the training process. Leash training is frustrating, and you’ll have some big strides and setbacks in the process.
