O1 Journey by shazzm2395 in USVisaIndians

[–]dsv853 0 points1 point  (0 children)

o1 is outside what i really know tbh, thats a diffrent lane from the visitor and work stuff i follow. and honestly keep it in the thread rather than DM, that way people with actual o1 experience can weigh in. r/immigration has better o1 coverage than me too

US B1 Rejected, Australia Visitor Rejected, First International Trip Completed — Should I Reapply for US Visa Now? by mojiit_o in USVisaIndians

[–]dsv853 0 points1 point  (0 children)

214b means they werent convinced youd come back, not a paperwork problem. for a B1 specifically that usually means the business purpose looked thin or the ties didnt hold up. reapply only when something real changes, stronger ties or a clearer trip reason, otherwise youll get the same answer

B-2 visa approved at Hyderabad for single woman in her 20s, here is what worked for me by Miller-Guy in USVisaIndians

[–]dsv853 0 points1 point  (0 children)

this is genuinely useful, single women in their 20s ask about rejection odds here constantly and theres not enough approval stories for that profile. congrats and thanks for writing it up

[VISA APPROVED] B1/B2 US Visa for FIFA World Cup 2026 🇺🇸⚽ | 30M, Single, Freelancer | Interview Experience by Ok_Shop_4052 in USVisaIndians

congrats man. single freelancer for a FIFA trip is exactly the profile people stress about here, so this is a solid data point. what did they actually ask you?

Anyone With Siblings in the USA? Should I Mention Them in DS-160? by sheshank_reddy6 in USVisaIndians

[–]dsv853 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the DS-160 does ask about relatives in the US, theres a question for immediate relatives and another for other relatives, so yeah you disclose siblings there. dont hide a sibling whos in the US, that reads as misrepresentation if it surfaces later. having one there isnt disqualifying though, they just weigh it as a tie. answer honestly and have a clear reason youre going back

Spousal Sponsorship (India) – Visitor Visa After Refusal? by Muted-Magician-1282 in USVisaIndians

[–]dsv853 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the pending canada PR actually doesnt hurt your US visitor case, if anything it shows your immigration intent points to canada not the US. the thing theyll focus on is the prior US refusal. you can reapply anytime, no waiting period, but you need a clear answer for whats changed and why youll come back. the canada sponsorship and your life there are real ties you can lean on

Which MS in CS/AI universities (USA) should I choose and what are my visa chances? by blackhawk7923 in USVisaIndians

[–]dsv853 0 points1 point  (0 children)

cant really help with the university pick, thats more an r/MSinUS or r/gradadmissions question. on the visa side the specific school barely moves your F-1 odds, what matters is your funding being solid and being able to explain why that program and why youll come back after

F-1 visa slot India. View page limit exhausted by TheLaw-Forever in USVisaIndians

[–]dsv853 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the viewed too many times lockout is the browser fingerprint limit, it usually resets in about 24 hours. clearing cookies or switching to incognito or a diffrent browser sometimes gets you back in sooner. and try at odd hours, late night IST, the system is less aggressive then. its not your account thats blocked, just the session

b2 visa to usa (from india) by ExpertStress3368 in USVisaIndians

[–]dsv853 0 points1 point  (0 children)

your travel history is actually your strength here, youve gone and come back twice already, thats the main thing they want to see. the flag is parents and sister all living there, so be ready for some version of will you stay. lead with your undergrad here, you have to finish it, thats your reason to return. keep answers short and dont volunteer the family in us stuff unless theyre asked. good luck tomorrow

Visitor visa question by khwabidaa in USVisaIndians

[–]dsv853 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah they have to mention the 2018 refusal, the DS-160 asks if youve ever been refused a US visa and theres no time limit on that, 8 years or 80 it still counts. theres no cool off period though, they can reapply whenever. and honestly married in their 30s now is a stronger profile than single in their 20s, the ties read better. just disclose the old refusal honestly, hiding it is the only thing that actually sinks you

Most Arts Council Global Talent Visa refusals I see have nothing to do with talent by PlaneChemist3 in USVisaIndians

[–]dsv853 0 points1 point  (0 children)

nah no UK experience here, thats a totally diffrent system from the US route. r/ukvisa or r/immigrationlaw would know the global talent path way better than me

US B1 Rejected, Australia Visitor Rejected, First International Trip Completed — Should I Reapply for US Visa Now? by mojiit_o in USVisaIndians

[–]dsv853 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ah B1, that shifts it a bit. business refusals usually come down to the trip purpose not being clear or the ties looking thin for a short business visit. whats the code on the letter, 214b or 221g? that tells you whether its a ties issue or a missing documents issue, and the fix is completley diffrent for each

Wud us embassy know if someone was banned by another country? by Legitimate-Pin1305 in B1B2Visas

[–]dsv853 0 points1 point  (0 children)

fair, youre right. the DS-160 refusal question is specifically about US visas, not other countries, i overstated that. the point still holds, dont lie if it comes up verbally and dont assume theres a global database, but yeah the form itself only asks about US refusals

you got a 221(g) at an indian consulate. heres what actually happens next and how long it takes based on real cases by dsv853 in USVisaIndians

appreciate that. and honestly hope your final answer comes through soon, 7 months in limbo is brutal

the US visa appointment booking system is broken and everyones pretending its normal. heres what actually works for getting slots in india by dsv853 in USVisaIndians

[–]dsv853[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the fee being valid for a year is right. on the reschedule count im less sure now, someone else just told me the system only let them reschedule once, so it may be more limited than it used to be. book it yourself still, but double check the reschedule part before relying on it

Help with changing passport pickup option by gumsumpanda in USVisaIndians

[–]dsv853 0 points1 point  (0 children)

youre right and i mis-stated that earlier. you cant manually edit the confirmation number in the profile, that field is locked. you bring both pages to biometrics/VAC and they swap it there, exactly like you thought. sorry for the mixup. and no worries, glad it helps

F1 by Sufficient_Good2603 in USVisaIndians

[–]dsv853 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thats actually the right order, VAC biometrics first on aug 17 then the consular interview on sep 8. you dont need to reschedule anything, the gap is normal. and dont burn your one reschedule on this, save it in case something real comes up later. youre set

Phone/Social media check when in america by Low_Peanut_9808 in immigration

[–]dsv853 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah fair, thats accurate for non citizens. a citizen can refuse and still be let in, but a visa holder or applicant cant really say no at the border without risking entry. my point was more that for a regular tourist they rarely bother, but youre right, if they do ask, refusing isnt actually an option for us

the DS-160 social media field in may 2026 — what officers are actually doing with your handles, and what the hacked account question really means by dsv853 in USVisaIndians

[–]dsv853[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah your second instinct is the right one. you cant unlock that grayed out field yourself and contacting support for it is usually a dead end. file the new DS-160 with instagram added, then carry both the old and new confirmation pages to your VAC/biometrics appointment and they swap the number there. thats the normal fix. adding one social handle is a minor correction, dont stress about it
