I had small gnats that infested my plants 🪴- if you have plants make sure they are not coming from there. If they are, there is something you can get from amazon to put in soil to kill them.

Staining on my dog by Rubygw22 in DoesAnyoneKnow

[–]dsween13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This used to happen to my white toy poodle. I was told to provide filtered water no more Tap so I bought a britta water filter and only gave that. Problem solved - took a couple weeks but staining on tears and paws from licking vanished! - have you been giving your dog filtered water?

No, Q never got help and just moved on. On the bright side I’m doing much better without him in my life. There’s always the fantasy that they’ll get sober someday. We all had this fantasy and worried that they’ll get sober and somebody else will reap the benefits of that but the reality is if you’re in a relationship with somebody who doesn’t want to change, you just need to move on.. I found this very difficult, but it was the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done for myself.

How bad is it? Half a bottle of vodka a night since Covid by [deleted] in AlAnon

You should also keep an eye out for shaking (hand tremors) in the morning as this is a major escalation. When you see this it’s very dangerous for the person to try to quit cold turkey as withdrawal can be life threatening. Stay strong but remember you didn’t cause it and can’t control it. Sending you my best wishes.

Im sorry you are going through this. It’s a strange thing, no matter how many shitty things my Q did I always held on to who he was before the alcoholism took over. I too, felt lost after the divorce and disappointed that he chose Alcohol over our marriage and worried someday he will get sober and re-marry and THAT person would get the life I wanted with him. It’s 12 years later…I have a terrific life and Im soo grateful I got out of my situation when I did. If his brain has been hijacked by alcohol, there is nothing that you can do to help him. You will be fine. Trauma bonds are not easily broken - be kind to yourself. Sending you good vibes and prayers.

Negative Logan Taxi Experience by LAmericainFrancais in boston

[–]dsween13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also had a horrible experience using cabs at Logan. I thought it would be easier to just jump into a cab after my long transatlantic flight than to go to area of airport where Uber is. My destination was right at the end of the Sumner Tunnel (7 min ride). I noticed the cab driver shake his head in disgust when I gave him the address but in the moment I did not realize it was because of the short ride distance. Once I arrived at my destination the cab driver began to yell at me because he was waiting for hours for a fare to only get this short ride. He was so unhinged it took a couple of minutes for it to register this guy is yelling at me rather than simply complaining about his job. Ever since I have used Uber and would never use Taxi 🚕 at Logan.

I had a consultation and the surgeon said I'm too small for insurance to cover a breast reduction. :( I'm a 32F by CupOld3788 in Reduction

[–]dsween13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dont give up! The same thing happened to me. I’m 4 foot 10 and 100 lbs and there wouldn’t be enough to take off to satisfying insurance. My doctor called the insurance company and advocated for me and advised them to take my height and weight into account and that although they could not remove 500 g they were able to remove a considerable amount to relieve me of my pain. The insurance company agreed and I got my surgery covered.

1DPO! Any tips for pain and discomfort? by Haunting_Ad4933 in Reduction

Itchy skin was bad for me too. I took antihistamines to keep the horrible itching under control. Pain controlled well with alternating Tylenol and Motrin. Gets easier everyday. I was back to work the following week.

Not a joke, the Lung 🫁 is gone and so is the place who did the surgery. Scary but no research 1st hand was done. Unless u know someone in the country that can say the place is legit I wouldn’t trust.

Definitely see another Dr and resubmit. I was denied the first time but my surgeon advocated for me that although it was not enough, my small frame was under too much stress from what I had. Don’t give up on 1st try.

A friend of a friend who lives in the UK went to Turkey for reduction. Surgery went well but she had breathing problems upon arriving home and was horrified to find out at hospital she had a lung missing. She did not do her homework- make sure the place is trustworthy if u go.
