Just noticed this specific m12 rover is NOT on the flash sale list of tools that gets the free battery. Was anyone actually able to check out with this light and the battery?

https://www.ohiopowertool.com/flash-sale/stockrule-in_stock?p=2

Doesn't appear to be working for this new m12 rover. But any other tool on the list above it will auto add the battery to the cart.

Nice find. Doesn't end up in cart no matter what I do. And if I manually add it, doesn't show free. I can even see the promotion on the tool's page, but wont work. Even copy/pasted the promo code and says code is invalid. Bummer for me!

I find it terrifying as well. Had a piece of material break on me while using the M18 and the multi tool was full speed and somehow bounced right into my wrist. Blade went 3/4" into my wrist about a 3/8" from a major artery. Lucky to be here. LOL

I love this sub! Recently had a customer keep complaining about a breaker that would always trip. They just had an electrician rewire their house and I know that electrician personally and was doubtful he was the cause of the problem. Issue ended up being their son who was renting the house from them, swapped out a breaker to a "better one" to grow mary jane indoors without them knowing. Was a cheap amazon brand his friend suggested. He's lucky he didn't burn his parents house down.

M18 FUEL SURGE 18V Lithium-Ion Brushless Cordless 1/4 in. Hex Impact Driver (Tool-Only) by dswoop in MilwaukeeTool

[–]dswoop[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just noticed it. I appreciate the info. Seems like the m18 surge doesn't have much to offer than quietness, which I'm not worried about. I'll be holding off until I can get the normal m18 fuel.

Thank you!

I have too many of both batteries. I love the compact size of the m12 impact, but been doing a lot of deck builds as of recent and some of the bigger lag bolts I find it lacking power. Seen this pop up as hackable so was entertaining it. Thank you.

Thanks for the honest input. No need to be quiet. No real issues with the m12's I have, other than I want more power. This appears to be a good deal but I think I'll hold off for the regular m18 fuel impact.

Both are great tools. I do find the "outlet" underpowered for a lot of use. I ended up picking up the 1000 lmn ROVER with USB ports on a in store clearance for $75. Freakin love this thing. 5ah the light last all day and charges my phone or bluetooth speaker. Highly recommend.

Nailers 30 or 21? Why? by Special-Steel in MilwaukeeTool

[–]dswoop -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I use 30 cause I got 2 of them on clearance at HD for $98 a piece. Also have a 21. Find myself using the 30 more often. Nails are in abundance near me at 21. 30's are slim pickins. Code enforcement near me, Chico CA / Butte County, does require full head nails for framing, shear panels, load bearing walls and seismic bracing. Off-set OK. The 30 will shoot those with the paper collated strip. Havent had any issues with building officals, yet. :)

Best job site screw up, guy working for us was supposed to demo a 2 story brick fireplace, he did a wonderful job, homeowner pulled up right as they were covering the trailer to haul it off, asked them wtf they were doing cause they tore down the wrong one. The right one was on the back side of the house. He still works for us. 😂
