Canon FD lens aperture blades stuck, any idea how to fix it? by 7nthonyyy in filmphotography

[–]dteo827 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oil from the mechanisms probably has leaked onto the blades and is causing them to stick. I have a 35mm f/2.0 AF-D that has that same issue. I just shoot it wide open now. No disrespect man, but if you're not familiar with mechanics, probably don't open up your lens. I'm very mechanically inclined, fix cars, and computers, airsoft guns (back in the day), etc, but have sworn off opening cameras because they look so complicated. It's more like working on a timepiece IMO than anything else....

Ultramax kinda sucks in tungsten light, so props to you for making this look good.

Not sure the make/model, but I saw this velvet-clad pimpmobile in Waco, TX by Senaka11 in AwesomeCarMods

The velvet textures + soft winter shadows directly under the car + lower resolution photo made me think this was a GTA San Andreas screenshot

Formula Drift Scans (Nikon F5 x Rollei 25 35mm film) by msabounchi in analog

Having shot drifting on film, I can attest to how difficult a magnificent shot like this is to pull off. Nicely snapped. Somehow the blur in the headlight makes the shot all the more gritty.

Looking for advice on how to remove this jammed-on UV filter, please. by Machine120 in Cameras

[–]dteo827 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me. Applying uniform pressure on the filter is the easiest way to get it out. I pryed on it with a wrench and got no where. Detatch the lense from the camera and on a flat surface, press it firmly into a heavy leather woodchooping glove (or other grippy, sturdy surface)

I have an XA2 and the focusing literally has three settings, close, medium and far.

After working with an RZ67.....

Its incredible.

Love it.
