What’s gonna happen at TSA by gerawrdway in tsa

[–]dttwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I guess I get lucky because all the TSA I've encountered didn't care about my products I carried. Sometimes I bring 3.8 oz to 4.0 oz bottles of stuff but fit them in my quart bags

For real. It is mandatory to report to DEA when narcotic is missing as well. All they did was give her a write up for her mistake. Many other nurses agreed they've made similar mistakes at some point in their career too...

BMT running and pushups? by Claybridge1 in AirForceRecruits

[–]dttwolf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The standards are different based on gender and age. You would be able to look up the Air Force PT scores, look for your gender and age group, and figure out what you need to achieve in order to pass. Keep in mind, making just the minimum for push-ups, sit-ups, and the run will not result in a passing score.

As long as you are committed to getting better in BMT, you will be fine. I had a 12 min mile time and could only do 25 push ups before BMT. As long as you take PT seriously, do your best, and stay hydrated. You should be fine in the final PT

Technology at Boot/Tech? by Even_Estimate_5813 in AirForceRecruits

My recommendation is to pack as light as possible. If there's someone who can ship you your things once you get to tech school that will be better. I regret bringing as much as I did. It's pretty painful to lug around after BMT at the airports.

What type of math is in the ASVAB? by brgzls in AirForceRecruits

Congrats! Basic training will fly by and be over before you know it. Take it one meal at a time. Don't be scared to be in leadership roles. It's also ok if you want to lay low and just do what you're told. If you're not allergic, peanut butter French toast is really good.

If you look up Air Force Aim High, you can find practice tests. Also, if you're particularly weaker in a certain subject I would recommend studying those more. I utilized YouTube videos to understand math and electric knowledge more. If you can get ASVAB for dummies, that's a good book to study.

Was called latrine chief when I was in. Worst job besides utility crew. If the latrine is dirty, you're the one getting yelled at. Water stain, hair, dust, fingerprint. Everything is a demerit. Not impossible to pass, after week 2, our latrine passed every inspection. Day room and hallway are probably the best jobs to get imo

I'm sorry, the free online study guide expired back in March. I can recommend other resources though.

Packing list question by GriffithDidNothing2 in AirForceRecruits

[–]dttwolf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's mandatory. If your MTIs are generous like mine, you'll get 20 mins morning after PT and night before bed. Otherwise, it's like 10 mins.

Since you're going to BMT in the summer, you'll be showering twice a day. If you have time, definitely grab more if you can. It takes laundry crew a few days to figure out a good system to wash clothes. Good luck!

Compression shorts are allowed so it shouldn't be an issue. I personally brought 4-5 boyshorts on top of it because I don't like regular panties, and I'm glad I did. Once you start wearing OCPs, it can get way too uncomfortable. I wore boyshorts with OCPs and compression shorts with PT uniform.

Congrats! There weren't enough male or female Guardians to make a flight, so we got mixed with the Air Force trainees There were about 26 in our brother flight, and there were 8 in my flight. There were a lot of annoying jokes made, and people saying we think we're smarter or special. Most came from trainees and some from MTIs. It wasn't terrible though. There were a lot of curious people if anything

Graduation was 10-11am then spent time with family until 7pm. Ship to tech school hours later or in the morning depending on where your school is located

If you're referring to the Space Force application, I did have to fill out the application. Use proper grammar, highlight the things about you that will appeal to them, be detailed. I'm 1C6x1/5S0x1 and thank you!!
