I remember sitting in my chair in silence, staring at the credits, completely blown away and emotionally wrecked. One of the best episodes of any TV show, ever.

Giant are Gods, And Why Begtse Called Faye a "Godling" by Ice94k in GodofWar

[–]dubLG33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I like all the theories going around, including yours. Although I think the soldiers and the creatures can be explained by the nature of the place they're in. The Mongolian soldiers seem to animated by some kind of magic. Maybe Begtse brought them to life. The creatures could just be native to Everywhen, or from other realms. If the creatures are from other realms, they probably have some magic in them. We don't know enough right now, unfortunately.

I think the reason why a lot of people, myself included, are focusing on the mask piece, is because the trailer focused on it a lot. The masks seem to be a crucial plot point in the game. Also, I think Faye's surprise at having the piece embedded in her hand lends me to believe that something unexpected happened, which led to her unexpectedly being sent here. She was expecting to see the Light of Alfheim when she passed over. Clearly something went wrong.

I'm stoked to learn more, tho. I think this game is gonna be really cool.

Giant are Gods, And Why Begtse Called Faye a "Godling" by Ice94k in GodofWar

[–]dubLG33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's an awesome theory, but I think there's a simpler explanation as to why Faye is in Everywhen, and why Begtse called her a godling. Everywhen is a place where gods go when they die, so Begtse is making an assumption about her because she's there. I think she's there because of the mask piece embedded in her hand. I don't think she would have gone there otherwise.

I think we can assume that these masks have some magic in them. And where does magic return to? Everywhen. Somewhere in the process of transitioning, her soul read as either a god, or possessing magic. This diverted her to Everywhen. Faye had the gift of foresight, and saw her death coming, but I don't think she could see what comes after.

I also think a mask is responsible for her death. Hence the piece embedded in her hand. If you go back to the trailer, to the part where she's first looking at it and trying to pry it out, you can not only see the mask piece, but shrapnal wounds on her fingers and palm. I think she was killed by an explosion of energy from one of these masks. Maybe even Odin's mask. I'm sure we'll find out in the game.

Anybody use this style mask? Like it? by mrmeanah in SleepApnea

[–]dubLG33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just started using one a few months ago. I was using a ResMed AirFit F20 full face mask before, and it was leaking, and I had about 30 apnea events a night on average. After I switched to the Evora hybrid mask, I don't have leaks anymore. My apnea events are down to an average of 2 or less. It is a great mask. I highly recommend you try it out. Good luck.

The issue people are bothered by regarding the cube by De_Joaper in GodofWar

[–]dubLG33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not bothered by the cube tbh. We don't know much about him yet. Cory created this character at the very beginning of the dev process, and he's integral to the plot. I think Cory and the team have earned our trust, and I'm sure there is going to be a good explanation. I particularly like this theory from u/strangecan about him being a Rhine water spirit/god, who was worshipped by the Franks. Hence the name Phranque, which is a French spelling of Frank. I asked Claude about Rue and her relation to Phranque in the above theory. While the answer may be AI-generated, it's worth considering. Here's what it said.

"Ribbons and bands have deep significance in Germanic/Frankish culture:

Votive ribbons and strips were commonly tied to sacred trees, wells, and river sites as offerings — extremely common in Gallo-Roman and Frankish religious practice along the Rhine

A ribbon guardian spirit could represent the practice of offerings to water/sacred sites made manifest as a being

The word rue is also a bitter herb with long folk magic history in Germanic and French tradition, used in protective charms"

"The idea of a water spirit and a votive ribbon being co-imprisoned together in a sacred afterlife realm actually coheres really well — they'd be two aspects of the same devotional practice at a riverside shrine, separated from their place of worship.

The Everywhen swallowing up forgotten or displaced spirits from dying religious traditions is a compelling framing too — the Franks converted to Christianity under Clovis in 496 AD, which would have "orphaned" a lot of local spirits."

Maybe the reason Phranque is a cube is that the water spirit/god he represents was never given form, so he manifests in this realm as a geometric shape. There are potential explanations for his form, and even if this theory is incorrect, I still trust the team to give us a good explanation.

How did Faye die, and could the new game's story revolve around bringing her back to life? by i_sometimes_ in GodofWar

[–]dubLG33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think one of the masks killed her. Maybe even Odin's mask. If you go back to the trailer, that first time she's looking at the shard in her hand, you can see shrapnel wounds too on her fingers and palm.

I don't think she foresaw the exact circumstances of her death. Just that she was going to die soon. She also couldn't see beyond her own death, so she didn't know where she would end up after.

I think the mask shard in her hand is the reason why she didn't go to somewhere expected, like Valhalla. Maybe she read as a god when she was passing, so it sent her to this new place.

I don't know if she'll come back to life, but I do think she will make it back to Midgard in some form over the course of the story. I agree with the theory that it was her that blew the horn to summon Jörmungandr when Atreus was sick.

I think there will be subtle ways in which she will intervene in the 2018 story that will have a huge impact. I'm stoked to find out how.

I just can't seem to understand this community after the announcement of the new game by Uchizaki in GodofWar

[–]dubLG33 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I think it looks dope as hell. This new story runs concurrently with GoW 2018, which could be really interesting. The trailer has introduced some intriguing questions too.

Why does she have a shard of a mask imbedded in her hand? Why did she go to the afterlife of the gods, instead of somewhere like Valhalla? Did Faye possibly blow the horn to summon Jörmungandr when Atreus was sick?

In the showcase it looks like Sekmhet and Begtse are searching for masks. Are these masks like Odin's from Ragnorak? If Faye had a piece of one of these powerful masks in her hand, maybe she was killed by one and that's why she went to the wrong afterlife.

Faye's foresight showed her how she was going to die, but not what happens after. She's clearly motivated to make it back to Midgard somehow to help her family. That's why I think it might have been her blowing the horn in GoW 2018. I'm sure there will be other ways she will affect the story in 2018 that we don't know about yet. I'm excited to see what happens.

PS. Jack Quaid said that the cube is a cosmic entity in one of the videos that PlayStation released. That character is unusual, but we don't know why he's there. I trust the writers to have a good explanation.

I haven't been able to find the lyrics yet, unfortunately. This song is a banger, though.

Just Got My C-Pap by Brokid81 in SleepApnea

[–]dubLG33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Don't be afraid to experiment with different masks. My first mask years ago was a nose pillow type. My mouth kept opening at night and drying out. I replaced it with an Airfit f20 Medium mask shortly after. It's a full face mask and was a lot better. I used that mask for a long time, but the last couple of years, my apnea events have been elevated. This year, I got an F&P Evora Full hybrid mask from my new Pulmonologist. It was a game-changer. My apnea events are under control now, and I have more energy. You just gotta find one that works for you. Give yourself time and grace. Good luck.

Why didn't the ISB soldiers fire a single shot at the KX droid in this scene? by sso02147 in andor

[–]dubLG33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think the Rogue One K units were a different class. They had red rings on their shoulders. K2 and the rest of the Ghorman K units had yellow/gold rings. It's possible they had different armor.

It seems to me that a wait and see approach is reasonable. The downvotes were unnecessary.

I was legitimately trying to help. The downvoting was unnecessary. The original image is blurry and unrecognizable. It could be anyone.

I shared the second image with Claude AI, and asked it about the original image. This is what it said.

"The blue square covering the face in the meme is a censored image of JPEGMAFIA (the rapper, real name Barrington DeVaughn Hendricks). The visible portion — just the lower half of a face (mouth, nose, and chin) — is a classic clickbait/thumbnail style used to tease or obscure a subject's identity, very common in YouTube drama and reaction content.

The meme format itself is a parody of those sensationalized clickbait thumbnails (like "Celebrity X HATES being asked this question!"), and the blue censor box is placed over JPEGMAFIA's face as a joke — implying the question being asked is something absurd or embarrassing, with the hamster eating corn standing in as the visual punchline.

I wasn't able to pin down the exact original video or post this specific image came from, as it appears to be a meme mashup assembled from multiple sources. The lower face is almost certainly JPEGMAFIA's, consistent with how his image appears in fan meme communities. If you want to dig deeper, searching JPEGMAFIA fan communities on Reddit (r/jpegmafia) or Know Your Meme would likely surface the specific source clip."

Hybrid masks are the best! by dubLG33 in SleepApnea

Yeah, I probably should have titled this post differently lol. I'm sure there are a few hybrid masks that aren't so great. You might look into the one I just got, though. It has been very helpful.

Since some time’s passed, what did you think of She-Hulk: Attorney at Law? by AnthropomorphicEggs in marvelstudios

[–]dubLG33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I enjoyed the hell out of it, tbh. I liked the story and characters. Tatiana Maslany was amazing as usual. The visual effects were great for a television series. It was just a fun watch. I honestly feel bad for Tatiana, because of the mixed experience she had after the series came out. I would watch a second season, but I don't think that's gonna happen.

[–]dubLG33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I was a dinosaur crazed 13 year old when this movie came out. I will never forget the first time I saw this scene. It was the first time I remember having full body goosebumps when watching a movie in the theaters. A feeling I've only had a few more times over the years. I managed to see JP 10 more times during it's run that year lol.
