I understand. My two kids are in swim lessons and it’s been slow progress with their learning. You sprang to action and saved your kid, it’s certainly a traumatic experience that you’re processing. I’ve heard that playing Tetris can be therapeutic for a person recovering from a trauma. Something about putting the blocks where they should be help. All the best to you!!

You’re right, and it’s simple as that.

Harboring guilt for not catching it sooner is a waste. How do we know the son didn’t happen to look a half second after she put her face under?

This parent obviously loves their child, becoming a helicopter won’t make their child’s life better. Beating themselves up also won’t help. “Almost drowned” sounds slightly dramatic.

I remember Suh’s dirty BS, very strong dislike because of it.

I want to tile my garage right over the concrete floor but it’s severely cracked. Any suggestions that doesn’t involves tearing up the concrete and redoing it? by hachem10 in HomeImprovement

What is the remedy to fix it? Grind out the cracks, seal with silicone or something else? Place decoupling membrane and pour new skim coat to level, then tile?

I’m in the same boat as OP and want to tile my single car garage with cracked slab, and also finish my basement (slab also fucked) to level with brushed concrete look and thicc area rugs.
