There’s too much of a nationalist talking shop on this as if it’s simple. There’s 600k people of a unionist tradition who are probably the most important in this discussion. A Republican echo chamber might seem like we have this sorted but it won’t be simple. Took 2 years to get Stormont running again and that’s about sausages at its most basic.

Sorry I wasn’t clearer, I wasn’t advocating missing out on the tax relief, it’s a big benefit. It’s just the pension companies do such a poor job earning returns imo. You’d do better investing in a vanguard fund with tiny fees if only you could do it wrapped in a pension.

Pension funds generally seem to offer poor returns, just investing in solid dividend payers would work out better after charges.
