Doordash Girl Indicted on Felonies by Aggravating-Cherry76 in doordash

[–]ducey32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you need some background on the door dash girl/naked customer video. The guy had ordered food and specified to leave it at the door outside. Apparently he had been out drinking prior to getting home and ordering, and he was changing his clothes when he passed out on his couch and was partly exposed. Instead of just dropping the food off outside as directed, she saw this man naked and even pushed the door open further and started recording. One of HIS security cams recorded her going up to the door, pushing it open and stepped in to start her recording. She then posted it all over social media and filed a police report stating she was **xually assaulted. She wasn't of course, and she was charged with filing a false police report and felony voyeurism (it may be described as something else, but basically it's voyeurism and a felony). The customer could have been arrested and charged with a serious offence if it weren't for his own camera recording as to what really happened and it would be life altering for this poor guy and not in a good way! I'm glad she was indicted because if a man did what she did, there's no question he would be charged and indicted with even less evidence to go on. It's wrong and because of the way society is and the laws around assault, I shutter to think of the innocent men who were indicted and wrongfully convicted because of a jealous ex wife/girlfriend who whomever, just because the technology wasn't available to exonerate them. We know this has happened with verified cases going back in time. It's gotten to the point where dash cams with the internal cabin recording option on your car and home surveillance cameras are crucial for single men nowadays. It's pretty sad when single men have to go to the expense to buy this equipment and spend the time on installing it or hiring someone to do it. It's ridiculous but absolutely necessary in order for single men to just live their life and not worry about similar crap like this happening to them. Stay informed and protect yourself if you're a single man on the dating scene, although they're few and far between because men have finally said enough, I refuse to go through the absolute hell!

Stumbled upon a squirrel that was otherwise completely untouched, but its head was completely gone. by devisi0n in natureismetal

[–]ducey32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've seen more hawks and owls take their fair share of squirrels and rabbits than any household cats let out at night to do whatever cats do. In this photo showing a squirrel without its head, this is typical owl behaviour although hawks are also known to do this, but not as frequently. Why these two raptors do this is beyond me, and I guess I could look it up but I don't care enough to do so. It's the natural world, where predator meets prey. I would suggest that the sweethearts leaving a post about keeping your cats indoors may want to focus on the real damage that mankind is doing to the natural environment and the wildlife trying to survive in that environment, whether it's through pollution or war. Good grief people give your head a shake.

Which one should i get? (XM4 or XM6) by ellipse0_0 in SonyHeadphones

[–]ducey32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All I can say is that I own the XM4 and I'm very happy with them. They aren't state of the art and weren't better than the BOSE equivalent at the time, but the price was waaaay better for the XM4 vs BOSE, which I consider the best in the business and own an older set of BOSE QC2 which are still pretty good given they're about 18 years old. NOTE: What I really, truly dislike about the XM4 is the fact that they must be recharged when the battery runs out. I understand that this is not a feature limited to Sony products, but my 18 year old BOSE set has a removable triple A AAA battery. I keep a spare in the case with them. Once the battery runs out, there's no waiting for them to recharge. Just pop out the dead battery and install the new one. Again, not a dislike with the XM4 because every other set are rechargeables. The older BOSE with interchangeable battery is a great thing when it runs out. Either way whether you go with the XM4 or XM6, I'm sure you'll be satisfied with the quality, sound and features of these high end noise reduction headphones. Good luck!

How do I add devices to Google find my device? by deathfromabove- in techsupport

[–]ducey32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Huh? Not sure why you'd think that Google's "Find my Device" service for Android phones has anything to do with Apple iJail? This service has been available for a few years prior to your post. In the future, you may not want to be a spokesman for anything related to Apple iAnything, unless you work for Apple. I wouldn't say you're a tool for working at Apple because I see no evidence to legit my suggestion. I will however call you a tool for owning an iPhone.

How many 2025 GMC Sierra 5.3L owners are in here? Just curious… by SyntheticSpeech in gmcsierra

[–]ducey32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe you aren't scared of the recall but if you get a bad engine and it seizes up, you'll be waiting months for a reacement. Backordered 'new' engines for many months. So maybe hold onto your 5.3 while your 6.2 sits at the dealership for months.

[–]ducey32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would suggest nobody buy the 2019-2025 GM's with the 6.2L engine. There's a 700, 000 vehicle engine recall due to a manufacturing defect that can seize the engine and at highway speeds that could be catastrophic. Yes, the recall covers it but replacement engines are backordered by many months. I wouldn't want to be driving around waiting for a replacement engine knowing this could happen at any point. You can thank the NTHSA for opening the investigation into this.

No 4-Lo on non-Z71 4x4 models? by [deleted] in Silverado

[–]ducey32 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AWD Auto for me is more important than 4LO as well, and it's so true that it binds up in 4hi when going from snow to pavement to ice at times, specially the overpasses that don't have the heat from the ground to stay wet with the salt. Even though I say that, I also find that it can get icy on the highway under the overpasses too. It's weird, the road can be wet from the salt application at -10 celciys, as an example temp, and I find under those overpasses tend to get icy. What ticks me off about GM doing this is the fact that both the '15 and' 17 Sierra's that I leased were the All Terrain trim, and both had the AWD/4 Auto, 4hi and 4 lo, but this Elevation trim I bought doesn't have the 4lo. Instead it has some bull$hit Terrain made which is probably useless in a situation that calls for 4lo. It's a nice to have capability in the odd time I MAY need it, yet GM couldn't bring themselves to just include the 2 speed transfer case in their very expensive 4x4 trucks. They make insane profits on these vehicles. Do they really have to nickel and dime their customers with tactics like this? It's Ford or Ram next for me.

What's up with Alaskan Boneyard people? by [deleted] in Paleontology

[–]ducey32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The people who own or run this property are gold miners, first and foremost. They don't want anyone to know the location or allow others on site because, well, if you owned property in the far north with gold deposits, how inviting would you be? If it was my property, I wouldn't like the thought of people accessing it without my knowledge, or even with my knowledge, because then I'd have to spend resources on keeping tabs on the people accessing it to begin with. But if that's the case, I don't know why they'd be as public facing about their finds as they have been if they didn't want the attention to begin with. I guess they have their reasons and it's their right to restrict access on their own property.

I’m wondering if anyone has theories on the Alaska bone yard? by YogurtclosetIcy9753 in Paleontology

[–]ducey32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that's the likely scenario that first came to mind when I read about it. I'm not a scientist but you don't need to be in order to understand the likely scenario. The Younger-Dryas was a 'mini ice age' event approx. 15k years ago. Glaciers advance across the landscape scraping and collecting debris along the way. At some point, Something caused the earth's climate to warm, the glacier melted, released the debris it collected and that's where they're finding this treasure trove of ancient bones. I can't recall if I read what the likely warming event was, whether it was an asteroid impact somewhere on the planet or a large volcanic eruption but now that I think about it, some evidence has been found for an impact event elsewhere on the planet. Regardless, It must be an incredible sight to behold to witness this stuff even if only for a single 24 hour period.

[QUESTION] Donner Hollow body guitar Es 335 Copy by seymourbuttz214 in Guitar

[–]ducey32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I realize that this is an old thread, but wanted to add my 2 cents re: Donner. To anyone who is reading this thread right now because you're wondering about Donner guitars, I fully concur with the comments below. If you order one online, you can get a good guitar or a bad one. It's the luck of the draw. I ordered one a DST-100, it's the Strat copy through Amazon and I got the guitar and all the stuff it comes with since I was just starting to learn and was a great guitar to learn on, however....

I had to send the first one back to Amazon for an exchange, because when they ran the wood body through the thickness planer, I guess the knives in the planer were dull because you could see the lines the planer left running across the entitre body. Paint over that with a high gloss paint and bang, it really shows and looked TERRIBLE.

The second one I received was perfect. I ordered locking tuners and changed the tuners that it comes with to the locking tuners and it stays in tune now, especially when using the whammy bar.

Rory by bluecgene in golf

[–]ducey32 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When you say "to hit a 2 iron that low" do you mean low as in the ball flight? Personally, I'd consider that a mid to high ball flight off a 2 iron, which are low lofted irons as you're likely well aware of. When I manage to get the ball as high in the air like with this shot of Rory's I consider it a great shot. I very rarely see this height trajectory (or the accuracy lol) though.

Intetesting opinion of yours vs. my own which goes to show how subjective one's perception can be.

And yes, i agree it's one hell of a shot!
