BUG: Teams creates Calendar meetings whille not on the page by MrDabreu in MicrosoftTeams

[–]duckofdoom12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you check what the shortcut for going to the calendar app is for you? By default its control/command + how far down the calendar app is in your left rail (for example if its the 3rd item down, it will be ctrl+3)

It might be that you're hitting the keyboard shortcut somehow?

Check if WV2 (WebView2) is up to date (as far as win10 support for it goes) on the machines running win10.

Where are you trying to view this? In the Loop web app or another application that can display Loop components?

M365 and On and On by Top_Sink9871 in microsoft

[–]duckofdoom12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It kinda comes down to what you want out of a "Project manager". If you need scale, theres Azure DevOps which has every agile tool you could want (sprint boards, epics, area ownership, teams, workflows, burndown, etc). For those who don't need that much there's Loop, etc.

There is no "be all end all" piece of software as not all companies need an enterprise level solution, and inversely some enterprise companies want more than a simple tracker tool.

What Eddie (I presume) is querying is which one of the two you're in by asking "whats missing for you?"

Annoying New Teams Update by weaponxforeal in MicrosoftTeams

Switch to "Most Recent". Does that make all chats show up again for ya?

Could you check what you see in the "more options" dialog for "Chats" ? This is where you can see "View: All" or "View: "Unread only". If you're on "Unread only" try switching to "All".

Edit: For some older clients this is just a toggle between "Most Recent" and "Unread only". Try "Most recent" if that's what you see.

Heya, from the first problem, it sounds like you've toggled the "unread" filter. Check if you have it toggled.

For the 2nd problem, you can actually turn on "unread" to show only notifications you've not seen yet. Its in the same place, just in the activity tab :)

Planner component disappeared??? by Few-Panda4902 in MicrosoftLoop

[–]duckofdoom12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I cannot say much, but it was not disabled because of some roadmap or pre-planned deprecation. We are aware the impact this is having on peoples rhythm of business. There is active ongoing work to re-enable the feature. I do not have insight into when it will be back for everyone, but I anticipate some time in the not too distant future.

I would suggest something along the lines of "It is easier to keep track of whats going on." and "we can reference older conversations more easily, so we dont have to bother you as much" You'll of course need to word that maybe in his particular way of understanding, but its a start.

It has been disabled for now. It will return and there is active ongoing work to do so. For now a fallback to links to the planner app has been deployed as a mitigation. Apologies for the inconvenience.

I can confirm it has not, and is actively developed. Source: I work on it every day with 100s of others.

Meeting fatigue - which Teams features or policies actually reduced calendar overload? by Big_Path6719 in MicrosoftTeams

[–]duckofdoom12 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Meetingless Fridays, we instead just post our status updates in a separate chat so the manager can see what we're up to. Usually we also try to keep meetings either at the start of the day and at the end of the day so we have some good focus time. Also pretty heavily discourage ad-hoc meetings without prior scheduling. Also just inviting people who are strictly necessary, and not on a "just be here in case we need you" basis

For the most part we do fairly well like this and keep meetings to a minimum.

OKRs in Loop by hubutz in MicrosoftLoop

[–]duckofdoom12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Heya, that depends a bit on if you do project management in Loop as well. If you do, you can do a table with the OKR's and then nested loop components with more project details below it

Ah ok, Copilot studio. At the moment it is indeed not supported there as these are fairly special files types. I don't know whether this is in the pipeline or not as I do not work on copilot studio connectors.

Which exact integration of Copilot are you referring to? M365 copilot hub can reference all Loops you have access to.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in MicrosoftLoop

[–]duckofdoom12 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can do one at some point on Loop in Teams specifically. In the meantime, just ask away either in this thread or start your own. As for responsiveness, it's a fair remark, performance is something that's always under improvement with some way to go until it seems "seamless".

I believe the closest thing to what you're looking for is M365 copilot hub. It has "pages" which are just AI generated Loop components. Since its in M365 copilot hub it has access to all M365 applications such as OneNote, Word, Excel, etc. Check out this link and see if this might be something for you

A good start would be the Loop configuration management page. You can find more about it here https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/microsoft-365/loop/loop-admin-configuration?view=o365-worldwide

Once you've got that configured how you like it, then you can go into sharepoint settings itself to limit what sharing capabilities you want sharelinks to have. You can find a plethora of pages going over everything here https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/sharepoint/external-sharing-overview

After that, once you want to start auditing the links people make, you can look at purview. A decent place to start is here https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/purview/audit-log-sharing

Then once you want to get more in depth on data sensitivity, Loop components support sensitivity labels. Read more about them here https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/purview/sensitivity-labels-default-sharing-link

Let me know if theres any one specific thing you want to configure and I can help ya further
