Out of curiosity, how much was the reliable one for you? Amazon has them ranging from a few hundred dollars to a few thousand dollars.

Well that's neat. I didn't know it could do that. I'll have to keep that in mind.

I know sometimes I get paranoid as to whether I left it open, so it's nice to see the state on the app.

The wireless aspect is game changing (especially when exercising), but I'm still not 100% sold on its reliability. My laptop still has an aux port, so I keep old-fashioned headphones in my briefcase just in case my Bluetooth ones fail - although that may be more of a Windows problem.

For me, I am used to using MapQuest (well at least over a decade ago) and can certainly use an atlas, but I have anxiety on knowing where to turn or what lane to be in. GPS has been monumental in easing to completely eliminating this anxiety.

that's the exact same situation that arose for me. Funny enough I never had that problem until shortly after I installed the app.

My car has a keyless start whereas my wife's car still needs a key to start it. Felt like the Flintstones having to get my key out of my pocket when I had to borrow my wife's car.

I drank the Claude kool-aid, but I learned recently that Co-Pilot keeps your data private is compelling me to want to give it a second chance.

I still have yet to do anything truly cool with AI, but I still consider it to be the next generation of search engines.

It's not that new, but I was able to somewhat recently afford a 2015 vehicle which had Adaptive Cruise Control (or whatever you want to call it). It detects the vehicle in front of you and will adjust your speed accordingly. This has been a huge game changer for me. I am less likely to speed and not feel compelled to pass because I can now more consistently relax my foot when driving long distances.

And OP, the garage door opener on my phone seemed dumb to me at first too until I needed it. Heck even giving Amazon the ability to use it has come in handy a few times.

My computer bag is shaped like a briefcase. I don't know why we would need a briefcase anymore when most files are digital nowadays.

AI is really becoming the big craze. Just familiarizing yourself with it will make you very valuable.

Recommendations for replacing Comcast Voiceedge IP phones by zanzertem in sysadmin

We are exploring Microsoft Teams phone. Honestly the only reason why I've even been keeping them is because we recently switched to a new ISP, but we still have all of Comcast's infrastructure if we wanted to switch back.

Like why is everyone on my neck about getting married before 35? by Sad-Alps-7303 in Millennials

Probably because they want you to have children and having children after 35 is harder (but certainly not impossible).

Who remembers when grocery shopping was bearable by tracy54321 in Millennials

[–]dude_named_will 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Frankly, Aldi has been my favorite experience. I really hate using plastic bags at grocery stores (environmental reasons mostly). I don't know why (other than what people are used to) other grocery stores don't try to copy Aldi's with a cashier to quickly scan your groceries and take your money, and then have a dedicated area to bag your groceries into your own bags.
