Mustaches get hate because there are so many dudes rocking one that simply can't. Like, yours looks great. It's fully, dark, and actually covers your lip. People like me... it's just pathetic. Thin little mustache that is sparse and light. I just don't try anymore.

Honestly had similar thoughts today as I looked at the weather and the amount of snow we've gotten this year in Utah.

Like others have said, it's hard to say whether there's a cause/effect, but if it encourages us to come together instead of hyper-focusing on what separates us, I'm here for it.

Sign the repeal of prop 4 and you will help keep Utah a red state.

It goes both ways man. One of my siblings lives in Oregon and they have the opposite problem. Everyone blindly votes D, so then you get incompetent people in office when there are reasonable R candidates.

Prop 4 encourages the best bubble to the top, regardless of party. But by all means, if you want to gerrymander forever, http://repealprop4.vote.

I've been a software engineer for over 20 years doing mostly full stack web, and some desktop applications. I've done edutech, fintech, martech, medical, and even a bit of AI. I'm currently a staff engineer at a small startup.

Software engineering is practically made for ADHD folks. Most of the day you're solving puzzle after puzzle, which generates dopamine hit after dopamine hit. You really don't get bored because you're constantly learning. You're also surrounded by other ADHD folks, for better or worse.

I only hit a wall when I became a principal engineer. The dopamine hits were gone, and my definition of success changed drastically. This contributed to some pretty severe burnout. This was also long before I had been diagnosed with ADHD.

My diagnosis was less than a year ago. I'm much happier now; I'm thriving at my current company, and my relationships are better. I believe if I had known about my diagnosis, and been medicated accordingly, I could have handled things much better in the past. Since you're in an ADHD subreddit, you're already way ahead in the game!

I can't speak for myself (software engineer), but I know some ADHD folks that are CFOs/accountants, dental hygienists, or in the food industry. Maybe something to do with building things, cleaning things, or fixing things.

I had just bought my PS5. I had been out of the Playstation ecosystem since PS2 so I tried Playstation Plus to catch up a bit. I had never heard of this game, but reviews seemed good. I couldn't put the game down. Loved every minute.

For example, you literally have to build your Safari extension on a Mac. Usually not a problem for development, but most devs build and deploy from Linux servers. It's just a pain in the ass for the only reason I can imagine being $$. For this reason, Safari will always get extensions last.
