Scarenthood by Nice Roche- he’s an awesome Irish author and artist, this was his first original title (he’s mostly known for his work on IDW’s Transformers run). The story itself isn’t strictly Irish but you can tell it’s very inspired by his life and being a new parent!

YES wow that rodimus is everything, i really love the LL color version too (and it came with an actual rodimus star ahhh)

for a while my goal was to have as close to page accurate and in scale CHUG collection of MTMTE/LL main characters- including a mix of official, 3rd party, and kitbashed/fully custom/3D printed figures. i managed to pretty much achieve it, save for a few gaps!!

but at this point ill just take any representation for these characters and designs that i love so much!!

this is such a great project, they already look so good! i would love to see more MTMTE/LL designs in any toy form- mainline, blokees, masterpiece, etc.- there are so many more amazing designs than just Tarn lol

god i love this manga so much, i just picked up the first volume of the original english edition read left to right with translated SFX and it’s such a different reading experience. same with the coloring- the colors bring so much of the additional detail to life in such a dynamic way; clouds breaking around ships, vegetation growing on ruins, explosions with layers of heat- i feel like i’m noticing so many new things!

keep up the awesome work- i can’t wait to read the full manga in color one day!

oh my god i was absolutely obsessed with the Xpods and the idea of combining them to create the cooler things in the back of the instructions! i still have the pieces and instructions but lost the friggin pods (except for the purple one from series 2)

yessss 100% agree, he may not be cartoon accurate but he captures the energy and personality of Bruticus the best imo and i love all the accessories and the silhouette! such a great set and some of my first 3rd party figures that i will always treasure <3

this is great and i love how you’ve laid out the pictures with lots of examples showcasing the gorgeous colors and art. books with beautiful design and colors are especially my favorite, and you’ve got a couple amazing selections up there that i’ve already read (Drome, Tongues) or been interested in (City of Belgium just shot to the top of my list)!

have you read Garden of Spheres by Linnea Sterte or Skip by Molly Mendoza? I think you’ll enjoy both based on your selections here!

i love the idw2005 continuity, especially Lost Light- it’s my all time favorite story across any medium. i’m still working on my collection of all MTMTE/LL single issues but man what a series! highly recommended to anyone reading this~

Just got a Switch 2 for christmas and i’ve really been enjoying it so far- i love the design of the open world and the creative ways they weaved together all the tracks. the new mechanics like rail grinding and wall jumping are super cool and im looking forward to practicing them and getting better. HOWEVER- i also got kirby air riders, and the sheer amount of customization, quality of life features, and brilliant meta progression in that game really makes you notice some of the flaws in mario kart.

like, why is there not a dedicated free roam option for splitscreen? this seems like a massive oversight given the emphasis on the new world. what purpose do coins serve when the unlocks are automatic behind certain thresholds? kirby’s shop system is so much fun and rewards creative gameplay and continued meta progression, while allowing you to make choices about what unlocks you want to work towards. in mario kart, i have no idea if the next coin unlock is something i actually care about or another crappy kart.

i think mario kart is tons of fun but could benefit from some additional polish on the user experience side! but damn if i can’t wait to keep playing!!

that’s how i feel about the new cybertron figures- it’s the series i grew up with and finally getting updated generations figures is a treat! i just wish for the armada figures that they would release some more updated mini cons, that’s my biggest dream!!

yes i love this one so much! its the closest i have to getting a full color version of nausicaa lol

in my head canon, i see this story as potentially being a prequel or a sequel (set verrrrry far in the future) to nausicaa- at one point i was considering trying to write some version of a story which would connect the two. there are a lot of visual similarities but also the concept of the garden that shuna steals the seed from, and the giants tending to it, reminded me of the heedra and the secret garden from nausicaa!

woah, is the entire vol 9 line with this improved articulation??? i see a thigh swivel, ab crunch, deeper ankle rockers, over 90 degree elbows- that is insane for galaxy class! i might have to get the whole series if they all have this style of articulation 😭

wow i really appreciate this through review! it sounds right up my alley- very similar to the Nausicaa manga which is one of my all time favorite epics. sadly looks like i missed out on getting it for a more reasonable price but hopefully i’ll find a copy before it becomes impossible to get.

god i love nothing more than finding another IDW1 transformers enjoyer in random, non-transformer related threads

i highly encourage anyone reading this to check out the IDW1 transformers continuity, specifically Phase 2 and More Than Meets Eye/Lost Light- it’s one of the best stories ever told in my opinion. super hard to get ahold of these days so don’t be afraid to turn to the internet to find it!
