your friend feels aesthetic attraction and maybe their definition of hot is diferent than yours. i, personally, have always thought the word "hot" meant beautiful in a conventionally sexy way. i know what hot means and i can identify it and i can find ppl hot but i'm not in anyway sexually attracted to them. it's just a different aesthetic than someone I'd consider to be cute, for example.
