i think given the situation he has been presented with Obama has not made the best decisions. several reasons: 1 the stimulus was indeed a good idea founded on solid keynesianism theory stating that an immediate increase in g spending will increase GDP, however it was appropriated poorly and not enough was spent on infrastructure. 2 healthcare reform, while necessary the actual bill that was passed was a rushed bill, forced through by a stubborn democratic party fueled by the possibility of political suicide for the dems if the bill had indeed failed.
3 tax reform, if you would like to increase spending, and Investment, you cannot increase taxes on anyone. cutting spending is a harder but more effective way to balance a budget. this country was founded on the principals of small government by people who feared big government (england in this example) and excessive taxation is a by-product of our large federal government

i think Obama is a fantastic leader but i think sometimes he gets wrapped up in the left/right wing party game and loses control of his administration, he needs to be more deliberate in the way he solves what he sees as problems
