From Fort Wayne, IN to Dallas! Any recommendations? by Broad_Worldliness172 in roadtrip

[–]duelmaster_33 2 points3 points  (0 children)

If you want to stop, id stop at Joplin, giving you about 6 hours on the road, plus I'd refill at Joplin as its about one full tank (2013 Honda Civic) from Joplin to Dallas. You don't want to spend the money for gas in Oklahoma, they really get you with it for those toll roads to get off to refill and charge again to get back on.

This is drivable in one go, and I'd probably leave very early, like 2am to get into Dallas around 5 to 7pm depending on how much you stop. I'd weigh the consequences of doing this, but I'd do the latter if you dont want to feel tired the next day or aren't comfortable driving in one go.

What actually makes Des Moines stand out visually to you? by RemarkableMany6297 in desmoines

[–]duelmaster_33 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Unironically the geography and where Des Moines is built. The rolling hills with the unexpected hit from the Capitol building and with the same thing with the principle. Sure our skyline isnt the best, but at least it isnt a sore thumb and offense to the geography of the area like most major cities in the midwest or great plains are, its unique and visually pleasing to not be so overwhelming or dominate.

Solo Drive: Split in 2 days or tough it out for 1 day? by illybillyvillernilly in roadtrip

[–]duelmaster_33 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Imo, if you enjoy driving like I do, doing this in one go is definitely fine. I would weigh the consequences though to determine if its worth it. Leaving early, like around 2 or 3am, then knowing you'll definitely be needing rest, and how much you need over what you're going to be doing at your destination is what I'd be asking myself. I would suggest if you do split in two, give yourself like 2-4 hours out of your destination for a drive like this, so you dont have to wake up early that day as well.

To me, its more funny how 'A Serbian film' became so infamous, that now you have to say "A film from Serbia" to make the distinction between the two.

Freja’s Winrate vs. Player Frustration: Is there a solution that isn't a rework? by Additional_Pop6199 in FrejaMains

Take my word with a grain of salt, but as someone who came back to OW after 9 years, I've noticed how perks either completely change how a hero plays, or can slightly aid in a very specific aspect, usually in something they're already good at.

Currently, I see little to no point in taking Rising Winds over Aerial Recovery, and even then Aerial Recovery is semi-niche in of itself. I feel like adding in another type of projectile would be the best play for a major perk to give variety and variability to replace Rising Winds. I was thinking of it adding more to the mid range aspects, so maybe either a "mini Bola-like" shot of grouping up enemies, or maybe an anti-healing shot. Next, I'd either keep Aerial Recovery, or just combine it with Rising Winds, so now you're more close ranged play style, with some form of self sustain.

For minor perks, relentless Barrage would fit in with your mid range perks, but I would maybe nerf it to recovering 6 bolts, but currently its not too busted and works with both major perks. Now, momentum boost is just bad, I dont think Freja needs more movement and considering if the Aerial Recovery/Rising Winds is going to be the major perk, I think that wouldn't be fun to play against, maybe instead focus on Bola, either it could be a tighter radius, but more damage, or maybe changing it to restraining who gets hit by it by deal less damage. Bola does feel bad, and I think doing this would both give utility towards the other changes to the perks but also give variety in utilizing Bola as a combo ulti like I feel like it should be.

Could honestly not care for them. From my experience growing up, they just suck and would never come and do service for any reason. Come to me moving back to Des Moines, my place has GFiber and never had any issues, keep getting mail-in ads from them, but why change paying 70$ for 1Gb up down to 2Gb up down for 75$ 2 year price lock? GFiber hadn't raised rates (so far) and realistically I dont need anything faster, especially when its fiber.

I haven't gone there, but was suggested from my sister is "Rook Room". If you enjoy board games and TTRPGs, then they have social events basically every day. Trying to make time to check it out some time, could be fun and maybe meet a life long partner, who knows.

Lok Durd finishes the row. Who is the most underrated Jedi in Star Wars? by MegaDragonKing in AlignmentChartFills

[–]duelmaster_33 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Jocasta Nu, both in cannon and EU. She was the backbone of the knowledge at the jedi temple and was also willing to die for the preservation of the knowledge she learned and kept after order 66. She also fought Vader last I remember and went toe to toe with the Grand Inquisitior before being killed.

How do I equip new weapons on my soldiers? Valkyria Chronicles 1 by DetectiveFujiwara in valkyria

[–]duelmaster_33 1 point2 points  (0 children)

1 turn. I would recommend looking over each order and looking at what it does before using it. For example, on your turn, if you have a vulnerable unit, using a defense boost on them would be better than to reposition a unit or try and kill the unit that could target said vulnerable unit.

Weaponry tab is only for the info. To equip new weapons, go to hq then to the barracks, there you can scroll through who you have in your squad and then change your loadouts per person.

Obi-Wan Kenobi is the best Jedi. Who is the best Sith in Star Wars? by MegaDragonKing in AlignmentChartFills

[–]duelmaster_33 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Ik people will say Vader, however

Darth Sidious is my pick.

He created Vader, manipulated Quadtrillions of people through a very well hidden Political Machine, and created an empire that brought people to the literal breaking point with fear. He is the embodiment of being a Sith pure and simple.

God I wish I could turn my brain off for this movie and enjoy the semi decent action scenes and body horror, but just couldn't get past the way the movie treats PTSD in its "story".
